We don’t have any choice but to follow when Ferry pulled Milan towards the tent that I think was assigned to her.
Well, I was already expecting that she is here since I know that she likes to join this kind of event but I didn’t expect that we will bump into her since this place is huge.
And when they get inside the tent, Ferry stopped us from entering. She said that they would discuss something important and it has nothing to do with me and Dashiel, so she left us outside the tent.
Their conversation is not that long. All I saw are a slight hint of frustration in Ferry but in the end, she still hugged Milan. And by the way, she hugged her, it looks to me like they didn’t see each other for a very long time.
“That is my fault, right?” I asked Dashiel while pointing to Milan and Ferry showing that they missed each other.
Dashiel didn’t hesitate to nod. “If you didn’t monitor Ferry and Castiel’s every move in the hope of finding Milan, they would probably hang out together most of the time.”
I scratched my head. “Can they blame me?” I said. “Milan suddenly disappeared that night. And I don’t even know her situation when she left me. And those two didn’t even say anything if my wife is okay and I should be not worrying over her.”
“And can you blame them?” he said to me. “From what they know, you intentionally cheated on her and impregnate another woman. So, why would they give you the peace of mind that you wanted?”
I was taken aback by what he said and sighed. “Well, now I feel bad.”
If only I didn’t insist on finding Milan even though I know that she didn’t want to face me, she probably enjoy her life in her new environment where no one will say her what she needs to do.
In those five years, her world only revolved inside that subdivision, instead of using it to build her empire, with her ability, like what she always wanted before.
And because of what I did, Ferry and Castiel couldn’t be with Milan in the new life that she is exploring and she was forced to face all of that alone, which she didn’t have to experience.
If only I had the courage to just let go of her before.
“But I can’t also blame you, En.” Dashiel tapped my shoulder. “What happened is not your fault. You are also a victim of the situation so don’t blame yourself too much. The only mistake that you did is not telling Milan anything about the issue.”
I sighed. “Yeah. That is what I regret until now.”
Instead of talking to Milan, I choose to spend more of my time at my job just for me to avoid her because I am too guilty and confused by what was happening back then.
I shouldn’t have chosen to be with my friends and gone home drunk so she couldn’t confront me with anything.
I should have just explained to her my situation before. It sould be me who tells her what happened. Maybe this is not what we become.
“You still love her, right?” Dash said and I nodded. “Then, o something to claim her back, En.” He messed up my hair and looked at Milan. “I didn’t let go of her and accept y defeat to you just for you to let go of her.” Then, he smacked my back. “You still have a chance to fight!”
Well, that is what I planned to do. I will claim her back and will do everything to ensure that our second chance will be sweeter than before. I will do everything so she will not doubt my feelings and I will correct all the

mistakes that I did in the past.
I saw Ferry pull Milan again. And this time, they are walking towards the big tent with the emblem of Anox.
“Do you have any information about this event?” I asked Dashiel as we follow Ferry and Milan. “Do you know who is the organizer?”
He shook his head. “I don’t know who is the organizer,” he said. “Adze just mentioned this event earlier when he went to my restaurant. So, when I was with Milan, I invited her here.”
“What did Adze tell you?”
“There is a racing event here and the main display is…” He was the one who stopped himself from speaking and slightly smacked his forehead when he finally realize what was thinking right now.
“It was Anox who organized this event,” I said and pointed at the big tent where Ferry and Milan is going. “And I am sure that the executives of that car manufacturer are in there.”
Ferry and Milan got inside the tent and we immediately run towards there but as soon as we reach the inside, we were shocked at the scene that is happening there.
“Oh my god!” Milan was amazed as she stared at Lancelot’s face. “You are Lancelot Neon of Anox.”
And I just shook my head when she resist Ferry’s grip on her arm and without hesitation, she hugged Lancelot, tight.
Everyone stopped what they are doing when they notice what Milan did. And they are all shocked because Milan has the guts to do that despite the glare that she is currently receiving from the man standing beside them, Adze Mercury, Lancelot’s life partner.
Even Ferry was shocked but she just shook her head and immediately stopped the bodyguard from approaching them. She just signaled them that everything is okay and their boss is not in any kind of danger.
“Chill, guys.” Dashiel approached the bodyguards and tapped their shoulders. “Everything is fine. The girl is with us and she is just a huge fan of Lancelot’s creation.” He them went beside Lancelot and Adze who were still glaring at my wife. “She is not a threat, so please calm down.”
Lancelot calmed down as he was assured by Ferry and Dashiel. But Adze was still not budging. And if looks can kill, I am sure Milan was already lying on the floor right now.
I sighed and went beside Milan. Then I slowly pulled her away from Lancelot,
“What?” Milan hissed at me.
“You can’t just hug another man in front of me, Milan,” I said. “And please mind the partner of Mister Neon.”
Her eyes widen when she finally realized what she did and immediately looked at the couple. “Oh my! I am sorry!” She bowed her head. “I was just carried away by the though of finally meeting the one that I admire. I love Mister Neon’s creations.”
I sighed again and looked at Lancelot and slightly bowed my head. “I am also sorry for what my secretary did,” 1 said and looked straight at both of them. “She means no han. She was just following everything about Anox since we are still in college and she loves your cars. And it is one of her dreams to personally meet you.”
I know that it is one of the reasons why Milan didn’t back out of this arrangement. She is aware that as long as she stayed as my secretary for the whole three months, she will be able to meet her idol.
“I didn’t expect to see you here, Mister Andrius,” Lancelot said while looking at me. “Is this some kind of coincidence?”

I nodded. “I am also not expecting to meet you here, Mister Neon.” I immediately grabbed Dashiel’s collar when he tried to get away from us. “This friend of mine is the one who invites my secretary here since he knows that your company will display your new product at this event.”
Dashiel scratched his head and faced Lancelot. “But I don’t have any idea that it was Anox who organized this event. Adze didn’t mention earlier that you will also be here,” he depended on himself. “And I also didn’t know that you will be with this woman!” He pointed at Ferry.
Ferry raised her eyebrows, rolled her eyes at him then looked at Lancelot. “As I said, all they planned to do here is to look for the display of your company and find something that may impress you so you will partner with Raiden. But I didn’t expect it was my friend who would be impressed by what she sees here.”
Just like what happened every time Dashiel and Ferry face each other, they started arguing. They even blamed each other why the whole tent is in tension because of what Milan did.
“Let’s bring this conversation to another place,” Lancelot said that making the two of them stop. He held his partner’s hand and that made Adze calm down, even just for a little bit. “We are bothering my executives.” He turned his eyes on me. “The two of you can come with us.”
They were the first ones that leave the tent. Ferry and Dashiel follow while they are still arguing.
I turned my head on Milan when she suddenly grabbed my arm and slightly squeezed herself in me while looking at the bodyguards of Lancelot. “D–did I mess up?”
I smiled and shook my head. “Don’t worry about that, Milan.” I held her hand. “Let’s go.” I pulled her outside the tent and follow the rest.
