Since Adze already prepared the contract, we started to study everything that they put there.
Well, it is not that we don’t trust them. This is a formal conract that has affiliated with a lot of responsibilities and a lot of money which is why we need to know everything that was written on it.
Besides, Adze also advice that to us before they left. He said that he is the one who draft the contract but he is not sure if Lancelot’s secretary puy everything he said.
So, it is only natural for us to allocate a lot of time to this one before signing it.
“What are they going to do if we lost the deal?” Art asked after I explained to him the temporary partnership between Raiden and Anox.
“We are going to pay twenty percent of the original price of each car that we didn’t manage to sell,” I said and showed him the page where it was stated in the contract. “The deal is only ten cars in three months. If we only sold three cars, twenty percent of the total price of the remaining seven cars will be the amount that we are going to pay.”
“Doesn’t it look like we are at loss there?” Art said. “We are going to return the remaining cars to them in a new condition. But we are still paying that twenty percent?”
“That is business, Art,” I said. “You will lose a large amount of money if you can’t maintain the good impression that you have for your partner.”
And this is not just about the huge amount of money that I fisk in this deal. Even Raiden’s name was also in a not- so–good situation if we failed the agreement that we have with Anox.
And I am sure, it will be a news headline because both companies are famous around the country.
“After we finalize the contract, bring it immediately to the strategic department so they can start drafting how are we going to launch and promote this method.”
The things that Anox wants in exchange for the deal that we asked for are just a few things. Well, they are still being considerate to Raiden but they want to make sure that both companies will get the profit that they needed so their executives will not be disappointed in them.
Aside from emphasizing the condition that Raiden and Ano stated, this contract also showed the benefits that both companies will get if the deal is successful.
And of course, the consequence of the deal also has some consequences that we need to face if we failed to do what Anox wants.
One thing for that is, I had to leave Raiden and become Ano’s employee.
“What the hell?” Enver exclaimed. “Why didn’t they say that there is something like this in this contract?”
I raised my eyebrows at him. “And what is wrong with that
He looked at me.
“Are you forgetting that after three months, I will still leave Raiden so don’t react as if I am a big loss to your company since I am not a permanent employee here?” I rolled my eyes at him and turned to the paper that I am holding.
“Then, what if I hired you permanently?”
“Thanks, but no thanks,” I said without looking at him. “ave other things to do with my life. And I don’t have plans on becoming a secretary again.”

I will not be going to abandon my cafeteria just because I don’t have any reason for me to hide again.
“Then…”
“But on the second hand, it is not mean that I will reject Anox’s offer,” I said before he could even say anything else. “It has been my dream to be part of that company so why not take advantage of what is happening?”
But to be honest, if my relationship with Enver is okay, and i am not hiding Millie from him, I might choose to work here beside him. Well, I can’t help but. I still love him
But as I said to Ferry, I already learned my lesson. I will not become fragile and accept him again just because he is showing that he wants me to stay in his life.
After we read everything that was stated in the contract, I compiled all the papers and put them in front of Enver’s table. “Please sign it immediately so I can pass it to the legal and strategical department. We can’t waste any time we have.”
He was just staring at the paper in front of him and it looks like he is having hesitation if he will going to sign the
contract or not.
I sighed. I don’t know what is running through his mind right now but I need him to remember the reason why we are in this kind of situation.
“If you are not going to sign that, then I will not leave your company since I am only here to help you get the partnership that you want with Anox,” I said. “Art can handle the rest of the secretarial job for you so you don’t need me here.”
He sighed, then nodded. “Sorry. I almost forgot about that. He took his pen and started signing every page of the
contract.
I let Art handle everything after Enver finished signing. Then, I left the office and let out a deep sigh.
I leaned at the wall beside the door and closed my eyes as I tried to keep myself calm because, to be honest, it is not that easy to act normal inside the office.
It is tiring to pretend as if I am not feeling anything uncomfortable in front of Enver. It is hard to show that everything is normal and everything is okay but to be honest, something in me urging me to confront him about what happened before.
I want to ask a question to him and get everything clear what is wrong with me and why he cheated on me?
But it is already five years since that happened. And I am sure, things will just get messed up if I dug up our past.
“Hey…”
I opened my eyes and saw Dashiel who was already standing in front of me.
“Are you okay?” he asked. “Why are you here?”
“Enver is busy signing the contract about the deal we had with Anox,” I said. “Adze and Lancelot were here earlier.”
He nodded. “I know. They also went to my restaurant and Aze mentioned the plan Raiden had with the cars of Anox.”
“That is why you are here?”
He nodded again. “I just wanted to be updated on this project since it will risk a huge amount of money and the credibility of Raiden to make a deal with another company.

“If that is the case, then I will send you the copy of the contract and every decision that the department heads. agreed on so you will be updated on what is happening,” I said. “I know that you are also busy handling your restaurant and it will be a hassle if you keep coming here.‘

“Okay, thanks,” he said. “But as I asked earlier, are you okay?”
I frowned. “Why did you ask?”
“Because I saw you breathing deeply while your eyes were closed,” he said. “And it looks to me that you are having a hard time. Care to share what is on your mind?”
I stared at him.
I can see his sincere worry about me but I am not sure if I can just tell him what is on my mind right now. He can
tell this to Enver.
I just smiled and tapped his shoulder. “Thank you for your concern but I am okay. I think it is just because of the pressure that I felt because of the sudden things that I did since I become Enver’s secretary.”
“Are you sure?”
I nodded. “Yeah.”
This time, he was the one who stared at me. But it is only for a couple of seconds. After that, he just sighed and messed up my hair. “If that is what you say. Anyway, I will go inside. I have an appointment with Enver.”
“Okay.”
I just let him go inside the office while I sat in front of my table while staring at the pile of papers that I need to
take care of.
“Well, it is hard to pretend but I can do this,” I said. “Three months passed quickly.”
Right, I can do this. For Mikea and Millie’s birthday.
