Chapter 24
Everyone was busy as soon as we started preparing the launch of our new payment method for those people who wanted to buy Raiden’s car.
After Enver finished signing the contract that Adze made, Immediately went to the Anox to get Lancelot to sign it. And I don’t know why but I have these feelings that Adze was expecting my arrival because as soon as Lancelot’s secretary opened the door, Adze was standing there while signing me to give the contract to him.
“Seriously?” I raised my eyebrows at him. “Do you have a spy in our office?” I handed him the folder.
“Yeah.” He started looking at every page of the contract. “It is Dashiel. You know how talkative that one is, right?”
I shook my head and sighed.
Well, Dashiel is updated on everything that happened at Raiden because he is one of the investors. And just like I promised him, I am sending him a report about the project but I didn’t expect that he will tell them that.
“Don’t think too much about that, Miss Escuero,” Adze said. “I just love to gossip so I always ask everything about what is happening at Raiden.”
“Please have a seat first, Miss Escuero,” Lancelot said. He has a pile of papers that he needs to work out which is why he can’t greet me properly. And I don’t really mind.
“O–okay.” I sat on the sofa and in front of me is Adze who was busy reading the contract. “May I ask some personal questions?”
“Yeah, sure,” he answered.
“I was just curious but how did you meet each other?” I whispered. I don’t want Lancelot Neon to think that I like to gossip about their lives. Well, I am a gossiper but I don’t want people to know about that.
“You heard about the people who wanted to kill Lancelot before, right?” he said without even looking at me.
“Yeah.”
I am one of those people.” My eyes widened when he said that. It is mean…” I am his protector–slash–assassin. But remained his protector because I fell in love.”
“Then…”
This time, he looked at me and smiled. “What you think is right. I am one of the agents of Seventh Sector.”
“What the hell?
“But I stopped being an assassin,” he said. “Lancelot is giving me enough money so I don’t need that kind of job anymore.”
I turned to Lancelot who was laughing as he heard what we are talking about. “Is that serious, Mister Neon?”
He looked at me and nodded. “He is great with that job at Seventh Sector and it pays so much but when my problems were all gone, I made him promise not to do that gain in exchange for giving him everything he wants.”
I still want to ask more questions but I think, this is getting too personal about them so I decided to shut my lips. I know enough information about Seventh Sector and I don’t want to get too involved in them.
“Everything is in place.” Adze handed the contract to Lancelot. “They agreed on everything we demand in exchange for making the deal. Well, aside from one thing.”
I frowned. From what I know, Enver signed all of the papers that stated Anox’s demand that was written on the
contract.

“What is it?”
Lancelot shook his head. “Nothing concern about you,” he said. “And it doesn’t affect the contract so it is fine.” And he started signing the contract. “Once you start with the plan, please make sure to send us a report every week so we will be updated on everything you do.”
I nodded. “Of course. You are now one of our partners.”
“And please watch out for the competitors of Raiden,” Adze added. “They might do something to sabotage this deal since it will give Raiden a huge advantage over them so better keep your guard up.”
I nodded again.
I am aware that Raiden has a lot of enemies who didn’t know how to fight fair and they will do everything they can to make sure that they will be the ones who stood up for the industry.
“Anox will support Raiden with everything we can from here onwards,” Lancelot said and handed me the copy of the contract. “Happy to work with you, Miss Escuero.” He offered his hand and I immediately accepted it.
“The pleasure is mine, Mister Neon,” I said. “Though, I am sorry if Mister Andrius didn’t make it here to personally bring you the contract.”
“No worries about that,” Lancelot said and let go of my hand because Adze is giving us deadly stares again. “Like what we said earlier, we know what is happening in Raiden so we are also aware that your boss is too busy for the launch of your new payment method for this weekend.”
And I just smiled. Dashiel talks a lot.
Well, Enver wanted to rush the launch of this method. He said that we cannot waste any more time so everyone in Raiden worked overtime just to satisfy our boss.
And to ensure that everyone will take this job seriously, Enver together with the department heads, takes care of everything personally.
“Then, I guess I will take my leave,” I said. “Thank you for this chance again.”
“Have lunch with us sometimes,” Adze said. “We often go to Dashiel’s restaurant. Drop by when you have free time.”
I nodded. “Sure. Thank you again.”
I let out a deep breath right after I got out of Anox’s building.
And to be honest, if I didn’t accidentally meet Lancelot and Adze at Arch Fend that time, I am sure that Raiden will never become a partner of Anox, no matter what kind of proposal I make.
Just like what Lancelot said before. Dashiel has been asking them to give Raiden a chance but because Anox’s executives can’t see any potential profit in the partnership they never took it into another discussion and just set aside the issue.
They don’t even consider Raiden’s application to be one of heir car’s sellers.
And when I learned about the previous transaction of Raides, I saw that they can’t give anything big to Anox.
Yes, Raiden is successful and famous around the country because of the price range of some local brand cars. But Anox is way bigger than that. They don’t need the help of any dealer or seller to have someone buy their cars.
And the customers that Riaden has are those people who go banned at the other car shop. Some are those who don’t have any choice because Raiden shop is the nearest store to them.

Others are friends or relatives of their executives and investors. And it is only a few choose to buy at Raiden because of their good approach to the customers.
And Enver’s management is still raw that people treat him as nothing but a baby in the industry. He doesn’t have a unique style and method for his company and even his vision of why he built Raiden is still not clear to the people, which makes other people think that he is not a serious CEO.
Maybe that is the reason why Enver is so desperate to have a partnership with Anox.
This is the only thing that will help Raiden proves they are worthy in the industry.
Well, I guess I just have to thank all those coincidence times that lead us to this moment. Because we can now show to the world that Raiden has now a potential partner of the biggest car manufacturer in the world.
