Chapter 26
When we arrived at the warehouse of Anox, 1hromediately save Enver
He was sitting on the hood of his at while staring at his phone. And it showed on his face that he has a b problem that is why I rim out of the car and went to him.
“What happened here?”
He looked at me and I can see his deep sadness. “I think I messed up.”
1 frowned. “What do you mean?”
*I think I forgot to inform the city customs about the delivery that Anox will make today,” he said. “It is a standard procedure whenever a car manufacturer will take out their cars in their warehouse to ensure that we are taking the right product and there are no illegal things that involve in the transactions.”
That procedure will just act as precautions for both parties because there are a lot of incidents before where some car companies are using their car product to transport illegal substances and the dealer didn’t know anything about that so when there was an inspection at the checkpoint near the area where they are going to deliver the product, it was the courier who got affected by it.
That is why the Palace of Avenir placed an ordinance where every transaction between car manufacturers and dealers needs to be inspected by the city customs to avoid such problems. And it will need to be done a day before the delivery day.
“Are you sure it is you who messed up about that?” I asked.
There are times when some people are using the dealer’s company name in this kind of crime. Like a certain someone will pretend to be part of a dealer’s company and say to the city customs that they need to take out of the warehouse a certain product.
And with this kind of incident, city customs required that only the owner of the dealer’s company and its secretary can set a schedule for the inspection to ensure the legitimacy of the appointment and the transactions.
Art and I were busy taking the necessary papers for the venue that day. That is why Enver was the one who went to the city customs to set an appointment for the inspection.
That is why I thought it has been prepared.
“I am asking you, Enver,” I firmly said. “Are you sure you’re the one who fucked up?”
He looked at me. “Are you saying that I might not be at fault here?”
1 sighed.
I know that this is a big project and Enver is doing his best just to make this successful. That is why I am not surprised to see that this problem has a big impact on him.
He was thinking that it is all his fault and that the launch will not going to happen because of this mess.
Well, I guess this part of him is still not changed.
“I am not saying that,” I said and that made him even sadder. “But I think this is not entirely your fault.”

He frowned. “What do you mean?”
I sighed again and looked straight into his eyes. “Walk me through what happened, okay?” He nodded as I said that. “You did go to the office of city customs, right?”
He nodded again. “I was there the day before yesterday.”
“Okay,” I said. “And you talked to the officer there?” He nodded for the third time. “And you told them the day when you will request the product inspection?”
“Yeah,” he answered. He took something from his pocket and show it to me. “This is the confirmation of that request. I made the appointment for yesterday.”
I took that and looked at it. “And who went here to attend the inspection?”
“I think it was Kyla from the strategic department,” he answered.
I scratched my head and turned to Lucien. “You know that woman?”
He nodded. “I heard that she volunteered on getting here to facilitate the inspection and since everyone at the office and the venue are busy, I let her do what she wants.”
“And did she submit a report regarding the inspection?” I turned my head again on Enver and this time, be couldn’t answer me.
And that is the root of this problem.
It means that he forgot about the report because he trusted an employee of Raiden too much then it needed.
“You are too easy to trust people around you, Enver,” I said. “I like that before. But as you can see, that kind of attitude always put you in a situation like this. And to be honest, that is one of the reasons why you will never be able to stand at the top of this industry.” Yeah, I know this is harsh but he needs to hear it from me if he wanted to continue his company.
“Milan…” Lucien was about to stop me but his attention got caught by the three cars that just arrived in front of
- us.
I tapped Enver’s chest. “Fix yourself. They are from the city customs and they will be the ones who will inspect the product that needs to be delivered to our venue.”
His eyes widened. “W–what?”
“Let’s talk again later,” I said before he could even say anything. “Finished this first so we could prepare everything for the launch tomorrow.” I turned my back on him and greeted the three gentlemen who just got off their cars.
“Long time no see, Milan,” Caster, the younger brother of Castiel, waved at me. He is one of the inspectors for city customs. “Though, I am still offended by what you just did to us. You didn’t even bother to tell me where did you live after living that man.”
“I am hiding from someone, idiot,” I exclaimed. “So, you think I will tell someone where I am hiding?” Even Castiel and Ferry didn’t know where I love.

They never asked and I never said to make sure that they will never slip their tongue even though Enver pressures them.
“So, are you back for good?” Ceru said. He is one of the closest cousins of Castiel and Caster, who also work as an inspector at the city customs.
“Yeah,” I said. “You can see me whenever I have free time. I won’t be hiding anymore.”
“Then, good,” Rew said. He is the best friend of these two and the current head of city customs. “Anyway, this conversation can wait. Let’s take care of our job first.”
And they immediately come to Enver who was also shocked to see them. He knows about them but those three don’t like him even when we are still together.
I don’t know why and even though I asked, they keep avoiding the topic so I choose to stop mentioning it to them.
After some greetings, they started talking like professionals, And after a while, they entered the warehouse and started the job.
I am not sure if I can call them my friends since we rarely see each other before but we know a lot about each other. And sometimes, whenever I visited Castiel’s house, they always hang out with us and that makes me know more about them.
I was just a year older than them and they help me in so many ways when I was still working five years ago. “You knew the head of city customs?” Lucien was shocked by that.
“It was just plain luck, Lucien,” I said. “He was friends with my best friend’s brother so we kinda met at one of their parents‘ parties.”
Though, no one expected that those three will end up at the city customs since they only do silly things when they are still in college. They don’t even take serious their school and that put Castiel’s mother under a lot of
stress.
But now, they are part of the respected city customs that make sure no illegal things will be transported anywhere in the country.
“You are one hell of a secretary, Milan…”
I just smiled and entered the warehouse to help with the inspection.
