Chapter 119
I kissed him back with the same devotion, feeling every emotion flowing from his touch.
When our lips finally parted, he looked at me with a breathless smile.
“So… does that mean we’re married?” he asked playfully.
I burst into laughter before I could stop it.
1 stroked his face with tenderness.
“You mean everything to me. So yes. You are my gorgeous, amazing husband, baby. Will you be my husband?”
Elijah’s eyes sparkled brightly.
Tears slipped silently down his cheeks as he hugged me so tightly I almost lost my breath.
“Yes,” he whispered against my neck. “I never want to be away from you again, Dante. I don’t want anything to separate us ever again. Please forgive me again for being stupid. I love you. I love you so much.”
My hands glided down his back as I held him tighter, feeling his heart racing with mine.
The emotion hit me like a tidal wave.
Elijah’s love was pure, powerful–it pierced straight through me like an arrow.
I kissed him slowly this time, taking my time, savoring every curve of his lips.
It was a soft kiss, full of affection and belonging.
When we finally pulled apart for air, I rested my forehead against his.
“Then from today on… your last name is Castelli.”
He laughed, still teary–eyed.
“Yes, my husband.”
I felt a warmth in my chest I couldn’t explain.
“Shit… Hearing you say that feels so good.”
He laughed quietly, clearly lovestruck and glowing with happiness.
“I can’t believe we’re married,” he said, eyes sparkling with joy.

His happiness was contagious—I found myself laughing too.
“When we get out of here, we’ll get married for real. Officially. I’ll give you a beautiful ring.”
He snuggled into my chest and kissed my damp skin.
“As long as I’m with you, I don’t need anything else, Dante. I can’t believe I have a beautiful husband… a sexy, magnificent husband.”
My laughter echoed through the bathroom.
“Bunny… You clearly don’t look in the mirror enough. Because the one who’s magnificent and perfect here is you. A true work of art.”
I kissed his lips over and over.
“I love you, my husband. I promise to protect and care for you for the rest of my life.”
He smiled sweetly–goofy and lovestruck.
“I promise to protect and care for you too.”
I decided to tease him a little.
And how are you going to protect me, love? You’ll end up getting hurt,” I said, laughing.
He pouted, crossing his arms.
“I know how to fight, love! I beat the crap out of Viper for provoking me. Smashed his nose and a few
teeth!”
Hearing that made me laugh so hard my stomach hurt.
“My love is a fierce fighter… I’m so proud!”
I held his waist gently, still chuckling.
“Shit, I missed that epic fight. I should’ve been there–it must’ve been a show watching my little bunny kicking ass.”
He laughed like a fool and hid his face in my chest.
“I was so angry, Dante… I couldn’t hold back.”
“And you did the right thing. You’re not that fragile boy who walked in here anymore. Now you’re my man. My husband. And no one messes with what’s mine, understand?”
“Yes, boss…” he replied playfully, sealing it with a kiss on my jaw.

Chapter 119
It’s true–my Elijah isn’t that same fragile boy anymore.
He’s changed so much… become strong, brave someone who surprises me more each day.
Who would’ve thought that boy, who once looked like he’d break with a breeze, would be the one to show me that what I called obsession was, in fact, love?
A love so intense I didn’t know how to handle it.
Didn’t know how to recognize it.
But now I do.
And I’ll protect him from anyone who tries to hurt him.
But… will he forgive me when he finds out what I’ve done?
I hate to admit it, but I’m afraid.
Afraid we’ll fight again, and this time, he won’t forgive me.
I don’t want to keep this secret forever–it’s better to tell him before everything falls apart again.
Yes… soon.
I’ll finally lift this weight off my heart.
