him.
He looked at her. “Long time no see.”
It hadn’t actually been that long. They had met not long ago before Shanice left Baumond to return to school,
But since he put it that way, Celeste didn’t contradict him and simply nodded. “Long time no see.”
When Kieran heard that Beck had come to meet Celeste, he had wanted to drop by and sit in, but he was too busy that day to get
away.
When the discussion was mostly wrapped up, Beck suggested having a meal together, and Celeste agreed.
At the restaurant, after chatting about other matters for a while, Beck suddenly said, “I heard Mr. and Mrs. Fleming… have finally agreed to their relationship.”
Caught off guard by the shift in topic, Celeste paused for a moment before realizing what he meant. Her expression remained calm as she nodded.
Queenie and Lincoln had always valued family background and reputation. For them to suddenly relent, it was likely because of how Wynn had risked her life to save Trevor not long ago.
But none of that had anything to do with her anymore.
Still, since Queenie and Lincoln had given their approval, it was likely that the divorce would finally go through smoothly.
After the meal, when they were leaving, they ran into Harvey, Lilian, and their group,
Harvey smiled. “Beck, what a coincidence.”
Beck nodded and greeted them politely. “Mr. Locket, Mrs. Locket.”
They nodded as an acknowledgement, but their gazes fell on Celeste.
Celeste acted as if she didn’t see them at all. She turned to Beck and said, “Mr. Harper, I have something to attend to, so I’ll head off first. If there are any issues with the collaboration, we can arrange another time to discuss in detail.”
Beck just smiled. “Alright.”
Celeste nodded and turned to leave, treating the others as if they didn’t exist.
The instant coldness that flashed in Celeste’s eyes upon seeing the Lockets and Shaws, and the way her expression turned icy without the slightest attempt to hide it, was impossible for Beck to miss.
He had long known about the conflict between her and Wynn, but seeing her complete indifference toward the Lockets and Shaws still surprised him.

Matthias took her phone and unlocked it.
