Even though Miles had mentally prepared himself, he was still a b stunned when he heard the result.
It wasn’t until the auction officially ended and Celeste left with Adine to handle the formalities that Miles snapped out of it and messaged Trevor.
“Celeste spent 1.8 billion and won the diamond…”
“Okay.”
Something this unexpected, and all he replied with is a casual “Okay“? 3
Miles then replied, “What did that period you sent me earlier mean?”
Trevor must have been busy. After a while, he finally replied, “It meant stop gossiping.” 13
Miles was dumbfounded. Wasn’t he just too shocked and wanted to let Trevor know?

Wynn also froze for a moment when she heard the diamond went for 1.8 billion and that Celeste was the one who won it.
But after a while, she lowered her head and silently stared at the teacup in her hands. 7
