After Trevor explained his purpose to Matthias and exchanged a few pleasantries, he left together with Wynn.

Celeste watched quietly, without saying anything from start to finish. 2
Patricia’s injury was not life–threatening, but her arm was fractured. She would need to stay in the hospital
under observation for two days before surgery could be arranged. 3
Seeing that the situation wasn’t too serious, and with Trevor arranging the best orthopedic team for her, the
Shaw family finally felt reassured. 6
Since it would still be a while before Patricia woke up, Harvey said, “Trevor, thank you for today. It’s getting
late, and I hear from Wynn that you have a flight tomorrow. Why don’t you head back and rest?” 1
Trevor didn’t insist otherwise. “Alright, I’ll take my leave then.”
Harvey seemed to have something more to say to him, so he added, “Trevor, let me see you out.”
Trevor seemed to guess his intention and smiled. “Sorry to trouble you.” 2
After Harvey and Trevor left, Ruby couldn’t help but smile. “Trevor really is wonderful to Wynn and to our whole family.”
Linda quickly agreed. “Of course, and all thanks to Wynn.” 1
Hearing this, Wynn forced a faint smile to her lips but said nothing.
At this moment, Trevor still appeared to treat her the same as before, yet it was also true that his concern for
Celeste had grown noticeably. She didn’t know how long his kindness toward her would last. 5
Thinking of Celeste brought another important matter to mind.
She and Trevor had left the YodaVision banquet early. When they left, Celeste’s identities as both Zachary’s student and one of YodaVision’s founders had not yet been made public.

Unlike Wynn, however, when she saw that Celeste–not Matthias–had represented YodaVision on stage, and
that Zachary’s wife, the highly renowned medical figure Nadine Yarborough, had half–embraced Celeste
affectionately, clearly showing her fondness, Linda was so angry that her face turned green. 1
She gnashed her teeth. “That Celeste–what gives her the right?” 5
Her outburst drew the others‘ attention. “What is it?” someone asked.
“Celeste represented YodaVision at their banquet, making a speech thanking the guests and spouting all sorts
of nonsense. The way she carried herself–it was as if she really were the boss of YodaVision. Shameless!” 5
The Shaw family hadn’t been able to attend the banquet, but they had been following it closely. 2
After watching Celeste’s speech, and then seeing in the video how Zachary and his wife expressed such
affection for her, and hearing how Matthias’s parents, as well as industry giant Victor, political heavyweight
Harold, and other prominent figures all showed such admiration for Celeste, their expressions turned sour.
The more Linda looked, the angrier she became.
“Mr. Fisher even said he wanted to offer Celeste a high salary to lead his company. What on earth is he
thinking? Surely he doesn’t really believe Celeste has that kind of ability?”
Lilian and the others also didn’t think Celeste had such ability. 4
They hadn’t expected Matthias to value her so highly either. On such an important day for YodaVision, he had
actually let Celeste take the stage as their representative.
Watching Celeste bask in admiration, Lilian’s eyes also turned cold. But after a moment’s thought, she quickly
