Esther Blackwell is in danger.
The words pounded against her skull with each heartbeat. She didn’t need anyone to tell her. She didn’t need proof. She had seen it. She had lived it m her sleep, like she always did.
She was in danger.

She had to go to work, no matter how terrified she was.
Her body didn’t feel like hers that morning. Her legs felt heavy, her hands cold, and even though she tried to steady her breathing, it only came out
shallow, short and uneven.
The morning breeze did little to calm her nerves. It was just another day to everyone else, but to Mia, it felt like the weight of the world was on her
She dragged herself into the cab, clutching her bag as if it were some sort of anchor holding her together.
The driver asked where she was going, and her voice cracked as she told him. She tried to clear her throat and say it again with more strength, but it still
sounded weak, almost lost.
The entire ride to work, she couldn’t think straight.
Her thoughts went in circles, chasing themselves until she felt dizzy.
No matter how much she tried to focus on the city outside the window, her mind betrayed her.
Esther Blackwell.
That name was the only thing echoing in her head. Her chest tightened as her heart skipped painfully.
She was in danger.
Mia’s heart kept repeating it like a broken record.

Mia squeezed her eyes shut, her nails digging into her palms. What was she supposed to do?
Pretend she hadn’t seen it? Pretend it was just another nightmare? She’d tried that before. She had ignored one of her dreams once–just once–and her

Chapter 206
By the time she stepped out in front of the company building, her legs were still trembling.
Esther Blackwell is going to die…
She tried to pull herself together, to look like any other employee walking in for work, but inside, she was falling apart.
If she keeps quiet and something happens to Esther Blackwell… Mia knew she would never forgive herself.
Never.
She stands in front of the building, staring at the huge building.
Maybe she really shouldn’t have taken this job.
If she hadn’t met Esther Blackwell again, would she have seen this horrible thing that is about to happen to her?
Would She?
Would she have died? or something or someone would have saved her?…
These dreams didn’t come every night. They were not constant. They were occasional, unpredictable, cruel in the way they appeared only when she was connected to someone. Her family, her closest ties, and now… an outsider.-
She wasn’t really an outsider though, but still….
What would she even call this?
She didn’t have an answer.
Apart from her family, no one can know about this…
They would call her a freak. Worse, they would think she is insane. They would say she needs help, that she was delusional.
She could already picture herself locked up in some psych ward, people whispering that she had lost her mind.
The thought made her shudder.
Only her family knew. they believed her, because they had seen it happen, seen the times her dreams came true. They trusted her.
And now, for the first time, someone outside her family was tangled up in it.
How was she supposed to handle this?
She couldn’t just walk up to Esther Blackwell–and say, “I saw you being kidnapped in a dream.” That wasn’t just ridiculous, it was absurd…
She saw everything on how it happened.
She saw the call Esther received that led her into the trap.
She saw the deal behind it, the betrayal.
She saw the exact moment it happened.
And yet, what could she do with that?
How was she supposed to warn her without sounding insane?

She could already imagine Esther’s face if she dared to say it. Cold. Sharp. Dismissive. Maybe even angry.
A woman like her wouldn’t take kindly to something like that. Not with the history she has with her son,
And yet…
Mia couldn’t sit back and let it happen.
She couldn’t let harm come to Aiden’s grandmother.
She couldn’t let harm come to Alex’s mom.
Her throat tightened painfully at the thought of Alex.
If anything happened to his mother, it would break him. Completely.
She couldn’t let that happen.

Her heart whispered his name before she could stop it. It was always like this. No matter how hard she tried to shut him out.
Working here and knowing he’s here, so close, has worsened the longing for him.
But Mia will not let herself be swallowed up by the love she once felt for him.. not again.
Still standing in front of the tall glass building, clutching her bag. She takes in a deep breath.
It’s time to go in.
She can’t run from this..
She forced herself to take one step, then another, into the company.
She will find a way to tell her, if she tells her and gets fired, which she’s suspecting will happen, then so be it.
At least her conscience will be clean.
Will it though? if something happens to her she will still blame herself that she should have done more to stop it…..
There’s no escaping this it seems
She was barely inside when cars began pulling up in front of the building. Sleek, black, expensive, cars that screamed power and authority.
The air in the lobby shifted. Employees straightened their backs, whispers filled the space, and security tightened their lines, filling up their spaces.
Mia froze like a freaking idiot, even after guessing who it would be….
“The CEO is here,” someone murmured, and the words echoed around her
