In Felipe’s mind, taking Cassian to a high–society party was a waste of time. After all, Cassian was a lowborn from the lower realm. No proper heiress from a prestigious family would ever look at someone like him.
Originally, he hadn’t wanted to bring Cassian along at all. Tonight was supposed to be his big moment. He didn’t want some lowly outsider stealing the spotlight. But since his grandfather insisted on extracting every bit of value out of this lowborn, Felipe had no grounds to object.
Besides, Felipe’s status had changed,

Before five minutes had passed, Cassian stepped out of the Cherry family residence, a chill in the air around him, his face expressionless. He hadn’t worn the outdated suit Felipe left him.
Instead, he still wore the same dark grey casual clothes from when he first arrived at the Cherry family estate.
Felipe scanned Cassian up and down with obvious distaste. That cheap fabric was definitely lower quality. Utterly unpresentable.
He gave a derisive snort. Once Cassian got in the
passenger seat, Felipe ordered the driver to go.
Felipe said, “When we get to the party, keep your mouth shut. This isn’t the lower realm. If you embarrass us, you’ll be humiliating the entire Cherry family!”
“My grandfather was kind enough to let you tag along. If you embarrass me, I’ll call the Inspection Bureau and have them execute Raven,” Felipe threatened, swaggering behind the borrowed power of others.
Cassian clenched his fists but said nothing. He believed in Raven. She was strong enough to survive anything. Once she returned safely, he would settle every score.
Half an hour later, they arrived at an upscale club in Frihamen City. After giving their names to the doorman, they were led to a luxurious private suite at the end of the second floor.
By then, the suite was already filled with guests. The second–generation elites and socialites of Frihamen City had never paid much attention to Felipe before.
But this time, they were throwing him a celebration party. It was because they all wanted to see for themselves what kind of person had managed to snag the leader of Cloudshadow Sect.
Of course, curiosity was one reason, but the main goal was to cozy up to Felipe. If he really rose to power by marrying into the Cloudshadow Sect, their connections to him might bring significant benefits.
