Chapter 837
Just as the Cloudshadow Sect member stepped into the private room, he immediately sensed something was wrong.

Though the Cloudshadow Sect member had come reluctantly, he still remembered Timonthy’s instructions. He stepped forward and addressed the
room.
He asked, “Who dared to strike the fiancé of our sect leader? And which one of you is supposed to be the future son–in–law of the Cloudshadow Sect?”
Hearing this, the dazed Felipe staggered forward. “I am! I’m the one! Where is Mr. Devonport? Why didn’t he come? That bitch Raven broke my arm. want her dead!”
The Cloudshadow Sect member recoiled two steps at the sight of Felipe’s swollen face and blurted out instinctively, “You’ve got to be kidding. There’s no way our sect leader would choose a dumb man like you as her fiancé.”
That jab hit Felipe’s sore spot like a knife, sending him spiraling into even greater hysteria.
He explained, “Why would I lie to you? I’m the heir of the Cherry family. Your sect leader hand–picked me as her fiancé! Look at my face. Raven and Cassian did this to me! Notify your sect leader immediately! I demand she avenge me!”
He added, “Those two bastards dared to lay a hand on me. It’s a direct challenge to the Cloudshadow Sect itself! If she doesn’t take them down to set an example, how will your sect maintain its authority?”
The Cloudshadow Sect member sized up Felipe with a cold, contemptuous gaze.
He had been briefed by Timonthy about the Cherry family’s shameless plot. The truth was, Raven was engaged to Cassian, but the Cherry family dared to try a bait–and–switch, planting this useless clown Felipe in his place.
And after stealing Cassian’s identity, not only did Felipe not lay low. He went around flaunting himself as Raven’s chosen fiancé. He was bold as hell.
If it weren’t for Timonthy’s repeated warnings not to touch Felipe of the Cherry family just yet, the sect member would have already taught this fraud a painful lesson.
In the end, the Cloudshadow Sect member swallowed his anger and forced a strained smile.
He said, “Mr. Cherry, please calm down. Our sect leader has been extremely busy lately, and she’s currently not in Frihamen City…”
“What?” Felipe’s voice rose in disbelief. “The wedding is coming up and she’s not even in Frihamen City?” he demanded, raising his voice further. “Then when will she be back?”
The sect member held back a sigh. He thought to himself, ‘This guy really is a moron. Even if Lady Valor ever did consider him, she’d surely be disgusted by now.‘

He replied patiently, “She is dealing with important matters. She’ll return for the wedding. Before she left, she told us that if anyone dares to harm her fiancé, we’re to record their names for her.”
He continued, “So don’t worry, Mr. Cherry. When she returns to Frihamen City, she’ll definitely make sure justice is served.”

Without waiting for Felipe’s reaction, the sect member turned and walked straight out of the room.
His obviously perfunctory response didn’t seem to register with Felipe or the rest of the wealthy young crowd. On the contrary, their chests puffed out with confidence, as if they had just been granted a royal pardon.
Felipe’s demeanor shifted from panicked to self–satisfied. He mumbled, “I knew it… She truly loves me. She will deal with those who hurt nie. Once she’s back, Raven and Cassian are dead meat!”
