“It’s too dangerous,” Raven rejected flatly.

“Those few people won’t be able to hurt me.” Cassian confidently raised his eyebrows. “Have you forgotten I’ve improved quite a bit with the executives pre–training during this period? Moreover, we don’t have to separate. We have to pretend to lure them out first.”
Diabolus Cassian was satisfied with the results of his training. Now, his tsundere personality was not the only one that could stand on the same ground as the queen. He could, too. With his increased strength, he could protect Raven. He would no longer need his pathetic tsundere personality.
“But I don’t trust you going alone.”
Raven frowned and pondered. Cassian’s words made sense. She might gain intel if he rashly alerted the enemy. Hence, it was better to separate and see her enemy’s goal. However, although she felt nothing was wrong with Diabolus, his current strength was still lacking.
“What’s there to worry about? Will you be this worried when that tsundere is around?” Cassian said aggrievedly. “You’re too biased!”
Raven was silent. Sometimes, she felt she could not reason with a man, especially a man who was jealous and competing with his other personality. “Is it
my fault that I’m worried about you?‘
“Then I’ll turn right at the intersection ahead. You go straight ahead.” Raven compromised. “I’ll be nearby. If there’s any danger…”
“Don’t worry, there won’t be any danger.” Cassian was full of confidence. “My martial arts are not inferior to those people!”
“Don’t underestimate the enemy. Be careful of sneak attacks.” Raven lowered her voice and said a few words to Cassian. Then, she took out her phone and pretended to make a call. At the same time, she deliberately raised her voice,
“Cassian, you can return first. Timonthy is looking for me for something. I need to meet him for this.”
“Alright, I’ll wait for you at home.” Cassian nodded and continued walking forward.
Raven pretended to turn right at the intersection. After walking for a while; she checked that no one was following her. Then, she walked into a small alley beside her. This path was coincidentally parallel to the path Cassian took. There was a wall of artificially trimmed trees as a cover.
Soon, she caught up to Cassian. Nothing seemed unusual from his end. He continued to move forward as if he had not noticed anything. The people following him in the dark still did not show themselves.
About ten minutes later, a few men dressed in black quietly poked their heads out. They were cautious. After confirming no one was around and that Raven was not beside Cassian, the leader took out his phone and dialed a number.
Not long after, a black jeep sped over before Cassian and blocked his way. Cassian stopped in his tracks. At the same time, he turned around and realized that the few shadows tailing him had walked out from behind the trees on both sides of the street, cutting off his escape route.
Cassian looked at the black jeep. The window lowered, and a cold face appeared in his sight. Cassian sized up the hateful–looking middle–aged man sitting in the car. He felt he looked familiar, but could not remember where he had seen him before.
“Cassian, we finally meet again.” Benson stared at him coldly.
“You were lucky back then and managed to escape several times. But this time, you won’t be able to escape!”
