Chapter 876
“Do you know me?” Cassian could feel the intensity of Benson’s hatred, though it seemed inexplicable.
“I’d recognize you even if you were a pile of ash,” Benson sneered, his voice dripping with malice.
“You’re…” A flicker of memory stirred in Cassian’s mind. He suddenly recalled seeing Benson back in Broson City, standing alongside Thorian, plotting how to bring down Raven.
“Who are you? Why have you been following us?” Cassian’s voice was steady, though his mind raced.

Cassian thought, ‘From the lower realms to Forreb, Benson’s obsession was terrifying. What kind of deep grudge could he possibly have to pursue us so relentlessly?‘
Benson’s lips curled into a mocking smile. “Why follow you? Raven destroyed my life–my family’s gone, and now I’m stuck here on Earth. I want to see her dead right before me. And you’ve ruined my plans more times than I can count. You deserve to die just as much as she does.”
Cassian’s jaw clenched. “But you don’t have to worry. You’re still useful to me. As long as you’re around, I’m sure Raven will show up at the Cloudshadow Sect’s wedding banquet.”
Benson’s eyes gleamed with a sense of triumph, and he gestured behind Cassian to his waiting men.
“Grab him. Move fast!”
This time, Benson wouldn’t let Cassian escape. He had to get him before Raven arrived.
At Benson’s command, the black–clad figures lunged at Cassian, their weapons drawn and intent clear.
Benson borrowed these men from the Larsson family. Unlike the Larsson family’s elite bodyguards, however, these were nothing more than low–level gatekeepers, far from skilled in combat.
Benson, convinced that Cassian was nothing more than a pampered rich kid, didn’t see the need for anything m but untrained men for the job, thinking they would be enough.
With Raven out of the picture, he had no doubt Cassian would be cornered and unable to escape.
“What’s your grudge against us?” Cassian demanded.

Cassian glanced cautiously at the few black–clad bodyguards approaching him. Though he’d seen Benson in the lower realm before, he couldn’t place
him or his true identity.
Cassian thought, ‘How did Benson manage to track us all the way from the lower realm? Lcan’t remember ever crossing paths with someone this obsessively vengeful, especially not with Raven.‘
Benson chuckled darkly, his voice filled with contempt. “You still have the nerve to ask what grudge I have against you? If it weren’t for Raven, I wouldn’t have ended up in this pathetic state.”
“What does your downfalt have to do with Raven?” Cassian asked, trying to make sense of Benson’s cryptic words. He still couldn’t place his identity, but suspected that Benson, like him, was from the lower realm and must have had some past conflict with Raven.
“Cut the crap. Don’t waste my time!” Benson snapped, his patience clearly worn thin. “You’ll find out who I am soon enough, but not today. For now, just come with me quietly, and you might spare yourself some pain.”
Benson barely regarded Cassian. To him, Cassian was nothing more than a pawn in his revenge against Raven–someone he could easily control. His goal was simple: capture Cassian, take him back to the Larsson family, and complete his mission.
Benson thought, ‘I’ll take Cassian back, torture him, and send the photos to Raven. Only then will I feel satisfaction, seeing her suffer.

“Think you can take me back?” Cassian said, facing the advancing bodyguards without a trace of fear on his face. “I think you’re setting yourselves up for disappointment.”
