Cassian was curious but didn’t dig deeper. After all, he had long accepted sharing his body with that arrogant fool. Still, it was a pity he hadn’t managed to capture the strange middle–aged man and force him to reveal his true identity.
Meanwhile, Benson, looking disheveled, drove back to the Larsson family and complained to Nash.
“Nash, Cassian must have secretly learned martial arts. The bodyguards I brought couldn’t even handle him. Looks like this idiot has finally woken up. He’s not going to be as easy to deal with now.”
Benson’s thoughts were a mess as he remembered the way Cassian had changed so suddenly. In just a few minutes, it was like he’d become an entirely different person. There was something strange about it.
But Nash didn’t seem bothered by Benson’s words.
“You worthless fool! Can’t even handle a simple task.”
“Never mind. Contact Mack immediately. Have him do whatever it takes to get Cassian to the Cloudshadow Sect’s wedding. After all, Cassian is from the Cherry family. They’ll know how to handle it.”
“Yes.” Benson concealed his anger and left the room to contact the Cherry family.
Not long after Benson’s escape, Raven stepped out from a nearby path. But Benson had fled so quickly that she hadn’t gotten a clear look at him.
Cassian said, “It seems like he knows both of us, but I couldn’t figure out his identity before he ran.”
“It’s fine. If the middle–aged man really means to harm us, he’ll show up again eventually,” Raven said dismissively. She wasn’t too concerned about the strange middle–aged man Cassian had mentioned. After all, anyone who couldn’t even defeat Cassian in his current state was no match for her.
“Cassian, I’m going to take a shower. How about you join me for a late–night snack afterward?”
Cassian shrugged off his jacket and headed upstairs.
“Mm,” Raven nodded, following him up. Since moving in, they hadn’t had a chance to explore the entire villa properly.
The second–floor layout was simple. Next to the main bedroom was a study, and opposite that were three guest rooms. The villa was fully furnished, and the property manager had arranged for everything to be thoroughly cleaned once they decided to move in.
Cassian entered the main bathroom, and Raven walked into the study next door.
In her memory, she didn’t recognize the villa at all. If she had really bought it, there should be some proof.
Raven thought, ‘I’m not holding out much hope. The property manager mentioned that the previous owner of Hawksworth Manor disappeared without a trace after arranging the White Stallion and setting up the traps.‘
‘Given how rushed everything was, if I really did buy this place before my memory loss, there probably wouldn’t be any clues left behind!’
Raven walked into the study, taking in the layout. She still didn’t recognize anything.
The room was small, with a peachwood desk in the center, a row of bookshelves on the right, and a leather sofa beside them.
As Raven stepped forward, she was drawn to the safe next to the desk.
She crouched down in front of the safe, staring at the dial for a moment. Then, on instinct, she entered Cassian’s birthday.

With a click, the password lock was instantly opened.
Raven stared in shock. “Could it be that I actually bought this villa?”
