The moment Timonthy saw the protectors behind Nash, his face darkened.
These protectors were responsible for the security of Frihamen City, and under normal circumstances, they couldn’t leave their posts without direct orders. The fact that Nash had brought them along meant he was well–prepared for whatever might happen.
The members of Cloudshadow Sect weren’t about to back down either. Seeing the interruption, the executive and protectors who had been sitting in the audience immediately rose, stepping forward to block the intruders.
“Nash,” Timonthy said, his tone sharp, “Today is Lady Valor’s wedding day. You show up uninvited, and with such a large group—this is hardly appropriate.”
After all, this was Raven’s wedding ceremony. They didn’t want to resort to violence unless absolutely necessary. But if these people insisted on causing trouble, they wouldn’t hesitate to defend what was theirs.
Nash sneered. “There’s nothing inappropriate about it,” he said, his eyes locked onto Raven, standing behind Timonthy. “I’m not here to make enemies with Cloudshadow Sect. I’m here because I can’t stand to watch you all be deceived by this impostor.”
From the moment he entered, he had been studying Raven. She looked identical to the woman he had once hunted down, but her strength was barely a third of what the real Raven had possessed.
Nash thought, ‘I was worried Raven had come back for revenge, but now it’s clear–she’s just an impostor.’
‘The real Raven could break through a hundred skilled warriors even while severely injured. This woman, though strong, is no more than a King Warrior- she’s nothing like the true Raven.‘
“You’re talking nonsense!” Timonthy snapped, his voice sharp. “Do you think we wouldn’t recognize our Lady Valor?”
Timonthy thought, ‘What’s with all these people questioning Lady Valor’s identity lately?‘
He had his doubts at first, but after Raven confidently revealed the access method to Cloudshadow Sect’s database and exuded that familiar aura when facing them, all doubts vanished for him and the other higher–ups.
“You’ll find out soon enough whether I’m lying or not!” Nash said confidently.
“I’m telling you, you’ve all been deceived by this woman!”
“She’s just someone who happens to look like Raven and shares the same name. In reality, she’s from the lower realm–Vyrdenia. She comes from a very ordinary second–tier family, one that didn’t favor her. She even went to prison for murder. Later, with some skills, she was recruited by the military.”
“She’s certainly talented, or else you wouldn’t have mistaken her. But I assure you, she is not your Lady Valor. When Lady Valor founded Cloudshadow Sect, this woman was just a fourteen–year–old girl from the Brown family in Vyrdenia.”
Everyone thought, ‘What? Raven’s from Vyrdenia? And when Cloudshadow Sect’s Lady Valor rose to fame five years ago, Raven was only fourteen?‘
Nash’s words stunned everyone in the room.
However, Timonthy and the others had verified Raven’s identity multiple times, so they weren’t about to doubt her based on a few words from Nash.
Cassian had no memories of Cloudshadow Sect and couldn’t confirm whether Raven had founded it.
As for the story of how Raven had crossed through the Spatial Gate and been reborn in Vyrdenia five years ago, such unbelievable, mystical events were impossible to explain to outsiders. Even if he did tell the truth, their enemies would likely fearn they were still alive.
He shifted his gaze to Raven, noticing that her face seemed off.
“Are you alright?” Cassian asked, steadying her arm with concern. He looked at her, worry etched across his face.
