Chapter 919
“This time, the longer you stay asleep, the better. It’s fine if you never wake up,“Cassian muttered to himself as he held his sparkling water. Til take good care of the queen for you.”
“Hey, handsome, interested in having a drink with me?” Just then, a woman in a revealing spaghetti–strap dress walked toward him and sat beside him.
Cassian’s expression changed as he replied indifferently, “I’m not interested. Moreover, I’m already married.” As he spoke, he raised his left hand and showed her the wedding ring on his finger.
“You’re married; you aren’t a monk,” the woman scoffed. “It’s just a drink. Why are you so uptight?” Her lips showed a playful smile as she leaned in, clearly intending to throw herself into Cassian’s arms. “Relax, I won’t tell your wife.”
Seeing the woman get closer, Cassian abruptly stood up and shoved her away with a stern shout, “Get lost!”
Caught off guard, the woman fell onto the floor, spilling half her drink all over her thin strapless dress, leaving her looking utterly embarrassed. She did not expect Cassian to be so lacking in “gentlemanly manners.”
“You bastard! Are you even a man?” she shrieked as she climbed to her feet, humiliated and angry. “You should feel honored that I even took an interest in you. Don’t blow it when I give you a chance.”
She was used to spending her nights at clubs, and every man she had ever set her sights on had fallen for her charms. She had thought that a small city like Frihamen City would not have anything, or anyone, worth her attention.
However, she was captivated the moment she stepped into this bar and saw the man sitting alone on the couch in the corner.
Cassian’s blunt fejection stung her pride. Moreover, a man like him, with features so perfect that they looked divine, with a hint of wickedness in his aura, was someone she had never encountered before. Even if he did not appreciate her, she was not quite ready to give up.
“I’ll give you one more chance. Come with me tonight, and I promise you won’t regret it,” the woman said.
“Don’t you understand human language?” Cassian’s voice turned ice–cold, with clear disgust in his eyes. He obviously could not stand the overpowering perfume she wore. It was making him dizzy.
“You…” The seductive woman gritted her teeth. She had always thought highly of herself and used her social status to get whatever she wanted. Men usually groveled at her feet. Never before had she been treated with such disdain.
“Fine. You brought this on yourself!” Fuming, the woman took out her phone and called her bodyguards waiting outside. Within moments, four burly men stormed into the bar.
“Miss, what can we do for you?” the bodyguards asked.
“Take this man and bring him to my hotel room,” the seductive woman instructed. “If he resists, knock him out.”
“Yes, ma’am,” the bodyguards responded and advanced toward Cassian with menacing looks.
“What are you doing?” Cassian growled. He swung a fist at the first bodyguard, landing a solid blow to the man’s face. Though he was not as powerful as his Primary Personality, he was no weakling.
“Trash! Hurry up and catch him!” the woman furiously shouted as she saw Cassian fighting back. “I come from the upper class of a quasi–secondary city. And you, a nobody from some tertiary cities, dare challenge me?”
The surrounding patrons gasped when they heard her words. They had initially thought she was some heiress from a powerful local family in Frihamen City. They did not expect her to be from a quasi–secondary city.
