Chapter 941
The shouting died instantly. Weapons clattered to the ground as Emerald Dragon enforcers dropped to one knee before Raven, “We surrender thei spokesman choked out. “Mercy, my lady!”
Raven’s lips twitched ‘Pathetic.‘
Their boss couldn’t even survive thirty seconds against her, and these so–called hardened fighters were groveling like scared puppies.
Dead silence blanketed the street.
Timothy exchanged glances with his Cloudshadow brethren. No one knew Forlunda City’s underworld would fold this fast. One demonstration of power, and these guys were kissing pavement.
Not that he minded. Taking Emerald Dragon without bloodshed meant fewer bodies to haul away later.
Tires screeched. Janice’s convertible skidded to a stop, her smug grin dying when she saw the kneeling gangsters.
‘What the hell?‘ She jumped out, designer heels cracking against the pavement. ‘They all are kneeling to Raven? Did she brainwash them or something?
A cold suspicion crept in. ‘Had Raven already taken over Emerald Dragon’s people?‘
But no–that couldn’t be. The Emerald Dragon Hall led Forlunda City’s Earth factions. These were hardened fighters, battle–scarred veterans. They didn’t just submit.
Yet there they were. On their knees. Behind Janice, the other
leaders and their crews stormed forward, ready for a fight–until they saw it.
The corpse of the Emerald Dragon Hall leader. And his men, kneeling around him.
“What the actual fuck?” one of the bosses spat, stumbling back. “You spineless cowards! Get your asses up and cut that bitch down!”
Another gang leader threw his hands up. “Since when did the mighty Emerald Dragon turn into a bunch of pussies? Your boss ain’t even cold yet and you’re licking her boots? He’d rise from the grave just to kick your asses!”
This wasn’t how it was supposed to go.
The sect leaders exchanged disgusted glances. Their boys were supposed to be carving Raven Valor into pieces right now, not kissing the damn ground
she walked on.
But the Emerald Dragon crew stayed frozen, weapons gathering dust at their knees.
“Pathetic,” a scarred boss sneered, shaking his head. “Your boss’s spinning in his grave watching this shit. Can’t even handle one woman?”
Raven’s lips curled as she eyed the red–faced men. Their spittle–flying tantrum was almost cute–like chihuahuas yapping at a wolf.
‘These clowns run Forlunda’s underground?‘ Cassian barely suppressed an eye–roll. No wonder the city was weak sauce compared to Raven’s training grounds.
He couldn’t even bring himself to watch. The so–called “martial artists” here? Total jokes.
Raven had trained in way tougher places–hell, even the back alleys of some no–name city would’ve been a step up. But Forreb? Low–tier. Forgotten. And honestly? Not even worth remembering.
“Since y’all think we’re just some low–tier city trash, why don’t you prove you’ve got the skills to back that up?” Timothy shot the gang leaders a cocky grin, rolling up his sleeves. “Lady Valor’s claiming Forlunda’s underground tonight. Anyone got a problem with that? Step up–or shut up.”
