Chapter 8

Meanwhile, two weeks later, under the Morrison brothers’ devoted care, Harper recovered and was discharged.

At the same time, the graduate school recommendation was officially awarded to Harper, as expected.

Harper was overjoyed, hugging Blake’s arm: “Blake, you’re amazing! I’m throwing a celebration party right away-you and Ryan HAVE to come!”

Watching Harper bounce away happily, Ryan elbowed Blake with a suggestive tone: “Bro, now that Harper’s got the spot, shouldn’t you break up

with Madison? But… before you do, can I get one more night with her? Won’t have the chance after

this.”

Hearing this, Blake felt an extremely uncomfortable sensation surge through him, almost instinctively blurting out: “Is she… really that good in bed?”

Ryan chuckled low, his pretty eyes gleaming with obvious reminiscence: “Hell yes! Damn, you missed out not trying her yourself, bro. Once you did, you’d be addicted…”

Blake’s face went dark, that nameless fire burning fierce and chaotic in his chest, but he said nothing, just coldly: “…I’ll have her wait at the apartment tonight.”

He pulled out his phone and dialed Madison’s number.

But what came through the speaker was a cold, mechanical female voice.

After listening, Blake’s face turned terrifyingly black!

Ryan sensed something was wrong: “What’s up, bro?”

Blake stared at his phone screen, forcing the words through gritted teeth:

“She BLOCKED me?!”

The speaker wasn’t giving him Madison’s soft, submissive voice, but that cold, mechanical recording: “Sorry, the number you have dialed is busy. Please try again later…”

Blake gripped his phone, knuckles going white with strain, veins bulging on the back of his hand.

Once, twice, three times… always the same message.

His handsome face was covered in frost, eyes dark with disbelief and rage.

She actually… DARED to block him?

Ryan came over, saw his ugly expression and repeated dialing, and laughed mockingly with a hint of schadenfreude: “Whatever, bro. You were gonna dump her anyway-this actually saves you the trouble. Doesn’t even require you to do the dirty work yourself.”

Those words hit Blake like a sharp thorn, unexpectedly stabbing his chest.

A wave of intense displeasure and loss of control surged up, burning his rationality to breaking point.

He couldn’t stand this feeling of being cut off unilaterally, especially when it was Madison-who’d always been completely

า

obedient to him!

“Shut up!” His rebuke was ice-cold and sharp.

Ryan was startled by his rare fury and shrugged without another word, though his eyes held more curious speculation.

Blake slammed his phone on the desk with a dull crash.

He took a deep breath, suppressing the churning irritation, grabbed the landline, and directly called his assistant.

“Find out immediately,” his voice was emotionless but carried undeniable command, “where Madison Claire is right now. I

want results in five minutes.”

The wait felt endless.

The study’s atmosphere was oppressive. Ryan lazily played with a lighter, occasionally glancing at his stone-faced brother.

Soon the phone rang back.

The assistant’s voice carried careful hesitation: “Mr. Morrison, we found her. Miss Madison… she processed her withdrawal from school this morning. And… she took a 9 AM flight to London.”
