“Wade, get me the footage from the park. We might get a breakthrough today, because this was well planned.” I say as I keep looking at the maps.
“Ninety five percent of their routes were heavily populated and they were taken on the five percent of their route that was mostly abandoned. In three cases it says that they didn’t always take this route, that it depended on what they were doing that day.
It is clear that whoever took them, followed them around for a few days at least. If we can see who followed Dorian, we might catch whoever did this.” I say.
Matias also points out the lack of evidence that might suggest a struggle, but he isn’t convinced that it was a case of the assailant being stronger or if there was more than one person involved.
“Uhm, there might be something else we should look into.” Matias says carefully and we all turn our heads in his direction.
“Lucas lived in all those places at the time of the disappearances, he moved from Wolfstrand to Angelbell a few months after Harmon went missing and three months before Nixon went missing. If every victim had been a male I would say we have our assailant, but there are also females missing.” Matias states.
We place the missing person reports next to Lucas‘ file and it turns out that Matias is right.
“I agree with Matías, this isn’t Lucas‘ doing. Could someone from his inner circle be involved?” Wade mumbles.
We pull out all the files on the males that are guarding the mansion and we quickly find the connecting link. Lucas‘ head of security moved to Wolfstrand a month before the first victim went missing and he is the only one that has been with Lucas every single
time.
“I want to know where he is at the moment and if he ever leaves the perimeters of Shadewoods Mansion.” I say.
If Marcel, Lucas‘ head of security, ever leaves the perimeters of the mansion, I will make sure that he ends up in cuffs. We have to do this carefully though, we don’t want to spook Lucas and force him into hiding once again.
It took Liam’s team a week or so, every time he moved to another town or city and I can’t waste any time with trying to locate him again. I need to keep a close eye on Marcel, he might lead us to wherever Dorian is and then we will take him into custody.
Lucas had tightened up security the moment we arrived in Bellwich, ready to run if he suspected that we were after him and that means that we need to keep a close eye on Marcel.
