Chapter Ten
Kieran’s POV
When the helicopter landed at my private estate, Aurelia immediately pushed away from me.
“You maniac! This is naked kidnapping!” She glared at me furiously.
I laughed coldly, jumping down from the helicopter. “Call it whatever you want. I won’t let you marry Damien.”
“Kieran, you have no right to do this!” Aurelia tried to climb back into the helicopter, but I pulled her down.
“No right?” I gripped her wrist, feeling her warmth. “Aurelia, you’re mine. You have been for three years.”

Just then, a screaming engine roared. A black sedan hurtled toward them
Celeste!
I froze–wasn’t she supposed to be gone?
“Watch out!” I threw myself forward with all my strength, shoving them aside.
The impact sent me flying, excruciating pain tearing through my body. I heard bones shattering, organs rupturing.
“Kieran!” Aurelia’s scream echoed in the distance.
I struggled to open my eyes and saw her kneeling beside me, tears streaming down her face.
“Let me go…” she sobbed. “Kieran, please… let me go…”
Those were the last words I heard.
When I woke, the doctor gave me the brutal truth–I might never walk again.
“Don’t tell Aurelia,” I said with difficulty. “And… let her go.”
The doctor stared at me in shock. “Sir?”
“Let her go. Immediately.” I closed my eyes.
In that moment, I finally understood–some mistakes, once made, mean losing the one you love forever. With my obsession and possessiveness, I’d personally destroyed the most precious thing in this world.
And Celeste–she’d escaped from the brothel, mad with the desire to take everyone down with her. When her car aimed for Aurelia and Damien, I’d used my own body as a shield.
