Margaery felt embarrassed by her words and quickly changed the subject. “As long as the antidote works, that’s good. I’ll write you a prescription. Follow it exactly, take one dose in the morning and one in the evening.”
With that, she hurried to write out the prescription.
Phillipa leaned against the doorway, smiling brightly at her. “Don’t worry, we won’t separate you and Prince Dashnell.
Margaery blushed. “Ahem, this is the prescription.”
She quickly used the prescription to silence Phillipa, and Phillipa was quite pleased. “From now on in the palace, we’ll look out for each other. You’ll be my dear sister.”
“Alright.” Margaery nodded and chatted with her for a while longer.
Phillipa spoke about palace matters, her tone serious. “Early this morning, news came from the palace that Lord Seamus and Dominic were sent to the secret prison right after entering the palace. It seems unlikely they’ll get out.”
Margaery had already learned of this last night. She asked, “Do Lady Alicia and Prince Marcus know about this?”
Phillipa shook her head. “They are still at the Hadley family mausoleum, with Chamberlain Oswald watching them. They don’t dare make any rash moves. Plus, the news hasn’t spread in the palace yet, so they’re probably still waiting for a response from the Hadley family.
“But the Hadley family members were very anxious early this morning.
“When I came over, Chester was standing at the main gate, constantly looking in the direction of the prison. I reckon he was completely baffled, unable to figure out why Lord Seamus went to the prison and still hasn’t returned.”
Margaery pondered these words. “The King has arrested him but kept it secret, which means the evidence isn’t ready yet. Once all the evidence is in place, the Hadley family will be finished.”
Phillipa nodded. “I heard Prince Eldric went west, it’s probably related to the Hadley family.”
Margaery’s lips twitched again at these words.
Eldric was sent to investigate Marcus, but the matter wasn’t just about Marcus, it also involved Callum.
If Eldric uncovered the truth, then after Callum ascended to power, most likely he and Isander, who would have the evidence at the same time, would work together to bring Callum down.
She had to admit, the King’s methods were truly intimidating.
One couldn’t say he played dirty, but these open schemes tested human nature. Nathaniel, Marcus, and Callum had all been caught up in it.
Now, she wondered if Isander and Eldric would be exceptions.
Margaery sighed. “Under the King’s nose, it’s best to tell the truth and not play tricks.”
“When the Hadley family collapses, you might have the chance to witness their sad faces.” Phillipa raised her brows slightly.
However, Margaery had no interest in this.
The two chatted for a while longer, and Amber returned.

Her face was red from the cold, and she couldn’t help but mention the Wallen family. “Miss, I heard Master Raul has gone. mad. Yesterday, Young Master Joshua called for doctors, and when they arrived, he kept talking nonsense. Now everyone is talking about it.”
Suddenly, she looked at Margaery, her eyes filled with disbelief. “Could it be that his surname really is Cooper? If this gets out, won’t he be killed?”
Impersonating a court official and deceiving the monarch, such things naturally warranted death.
By rights, he would be subject to the extermination of nine clans.
When the punishment was carried out, the Wallen family’s followers would also be implicated.
Russell’s departure was actually not for the sake of the Wallen family, but rather to help those other ministers who had been implicated by Raul.
So that if the charges against the Wallen family were reduced, these people could avoid being implicated.
Margaery pondered these matters and said, “If he truly has gone mad, then he should be confined soon.”
Even if Raul was to die, it would have to wait until after the palace examination.
Only after the palace examination would someone fill the vacancies left by the Wallen family faction. Otherwise, leaving half the court empty would only cause turmoil.
Amber sighed upon hearing this. “I really didn’t expect the Wallen family to be hiding so many secrets.”
Margaery had no words in response.
Phillipa saw her mention the Wallen family’s affairs and, finding it inappropriate to interject, rose to take her leave.
After all, regardless of the Wallen family’s situation, in her view, bringing up this matter was like stabbing a knife into Margaery’s heart.
Thus, after stepping outside, she quietly reminded Amber, “Don’t keep mentioning the Wallen family to Young Lady, that’s ill in the past.”
Amber stuck out her tongue. “I will try not to talk about it in the future.”
However, the Wallen family was also connected to Amber.
Her mother died at the hands of Raul. She was young and had not dared to hate Raul before, but now her hatred was hard to hide. Hearing that Raul had gone mad, she couldn’t help but feel a bit happy.
So, she naturally wanted to talk to someone about it.
But in the end, Raul getting his karma was enough, and she was fine letting the matter rest.
Margaery, however, smiled and said, “It’s fine if you want to talk about it.”
She then looked at Amber and comforted her, “I know you hate him, and I hate him too, but I’m only sixteen, and you’re just thirteen. The road ahead is so long, we must walk in the sunlight, not remain in the gutter.
‘After I enter the palace, I’ll try to speak with my teacher and see if I can get you into Inkwell Academy to study.”
Margaery reached out and gently touched the servant’s small face. Amber really was still just a child.

Amber nodded, grasping her hand. “Lady, you are so kind.”
“If I’m not kind to you, who else would I be kind to?” Margaery smiled.
As the two were speaking, Dashnell arrived.

Margaery had agreed to his request, leaving today for him, but Dashnell was the Chief Minister of Wellspring Hall. He must attend morning court, and even rushing back, he did not return until midday.
“Sorry to keep you waiting. I brought some food along the way. My mother prepared it for you, please try it.” He entered the room, gestured for Leandro to set down the food box, and smiled at Margaery.
That smile was like moonlight, like the surface of a lake. Gentle and serene, completely different from his demeanor in court. As it passed through Margaery’s heart, it seemed to dispel the gloom within her.
Margaery stepped forward to open the food box, feeling delighted. “I like all of it.”
As she spoke, she poured coffee for Dashnell.
The two sat down to eat. Amber and the other guards and maids tactfully left, so only the two remained in the room.
Only then did Margaery quietly mention court affairs. “I heard Raul has gone mad and is talking nonsense.
“If he reveals his true nature at this time, it may disrupt the plans of Your Highness and the King. It might need to be handled in advance.”
Dashnell looked at her upon hearing this, sighing. “Though you are not present in court, you have an innate wisdom. It reminds me of my late aunt.”
He then changed the subject. “I’ll have someone go and warn him this afternoon.”
Margaery nodded and asked, “Didn’t Prince Callum go after Tessa? Has there been any news from the Icy Pool?”
Dashnell shook his head. “Prince Callum hasn’t been diligent these past two days, he’s busy scheming against Prince Marcus.
“The people we sent value their lives and dare not get too close to the Icy Pool, fearing they might fall in and lose themselves. Moreover, the caves beneath are sealed off. Unless all exits are blocked, it’s very difficult to catch anyone.
“There’s nothing we can do. The people of the Southcroft Empire are skilled swimmers, while ours are mostly landlubbers.”
Dashnell spoke with some helplessness. “I had intended to send people from Stormshade Hall to block the exits, but the timing isn’t right. Father already knows Stormshade Hall answers to me.
“Given that he has entrusted the matter to Prince Callum, if I were to have Stormshade Hall intervene again, it would be overstepping my bounds.”
The greater the power one held, the more restraint was required.
Margaery understood his meaning, then shifted the topic and asked, “What about the palace examination? How many days are left?”
