As Elnora went stairs, she cast an almost indifferent glance down at the crowd. There was no obvious ambition in her eyes, but her quiet determination made it clear. She wasn’t here to lose, and nobody could ignore it.

Joyce shot Elnora a quick, indifferent look, then slipped her arm out of Mila’s grip and said in a flat voice, “Mila, don’t drag me into these pointless games again. I’m over it.”
Mila felt a surge of irritation. Joyce was the one who’d suggested this whole thing and acted all excited about it earlier.
“Sorry, I didn’t think she’d pull it off. She latched onto Albert so fast,” Mila said, forcing a smile.
Even though she was seething inside, she could only keep up her polite smile.
Joyce gave her a sidelong look.
“She managed to latch onto Albert so quickly, all thanks to Evan, right?” she sneered.
