The Gross family didn’t leave until the very end of the party.
Marina joined Daron at the winery entrance to see the Gross family off.

Kara held Marina’s hand, clearly reluctant to let go. “I thought once you were back in Vrufield, we’d have more time to hang out, but you’re still just as busy.”
Marina smiled. “Give it two more months, and I’ll have plenty of free time. I’ll definitely reach out then.”
Daron raised an eyebrow and murmured, “You could still meet up with her these days. It’s not like I’m a control freak who won’t let you have any personal space.”
Finn reached out and pulled Kara into the car, then called out to Daron, “We’re heading out now. You and Marina should get some rest too. It’s getting pretty late.”
Daron just nodded in response.
The Gross family’s driver fired up the engine.
Kara leaned out the window, waving enthusiastically at Marina. “Bye, Marina!”
Marina couldn’t help but smile, lifting her hand to wave back at Kara.
She kept watching until the Gross family’s car finally disappeared out of view, then slowly turned away.
nside, the office staff started trickling out, and Marina subtly stepped away from Daron.
Bella was starting to get suspicious about Marina and Daron, so she just said a quick goodbye to both of them before heading out.
One of the colleagues gave Daron a cautious nod, and as she passed by Marina, she asked politely, “Hey Marina, work’s done. Want to head out together?”
Marina gave her a polite smile, just about to reply when Daron cut in, his voice low. “She’s leaving with me.”
The girl’s eyes flickered with surprise, then she said to Marina, “Alright then, I’ll head out. See you tomorrow.”
Marina just nodded, lips pressed together, watching her colleagues leave.
Once everyone had left, she sighed softly and glanced at Daron, who was standing a short distance away
‘Are you staying at the winery tonight?” she asked.
Daron looked at her, his gaze cold and detached. “So, if I stay at the winery, you’re just going to leave?”
She nodded.
“Yeah. If you’re staying here tonight, I’ll just have the driver take me home. I need to take tomorrow off. There’s something going on at Finley Group that I have to deal with. Albert hasn’t been able to reach Elnora, so I need to go over myself.”
Before Elnora left, she sent Marina a power of attorney.
While she was away, Albert would consult Marina about any issues at Finley Group.

Marina could sign off on anything that needed handling.

Albert had been keeping a close eye on Elnora’s health lately. Even if Marina wanted to reach out, Elnora had to be the one to start the video call.
Marina knew Elnora was in the middle of a six–month treatment, so she tried not to bother her too much.
As long as Finley Group didn’t completely fall apart, Marina could keep things afloat.
Daron’s expression darkened, his voice cold as he said, “I’m going back.”
Marina just nodded, her tone calm. “Okay.”
There wasn’t the slightest hint of joy in her eyes at the thought of Daron coming back with her. Her gaze was cold and empty, like all the light had drained away.
Daron frowned, about to speak, when the winery butler hurried over, stopping respectfully beside him and speaking quietly, “Mr. Zamora, Mrs. Zamora would like to see you.”
Clearly, he meant Hayley.
Daron’s expression turned cold. “Did she say what it’s about?”
The butler lowered his voice even more. “I think it’s about Mr. Victor.”
With Victor showing up at the Zamora Group party and Verena making a big deal out of it, everyone now knew that Harris had accepted him into the family.
Daron hadn’t shown any obvious hostility or disgust toward Victor today, so people had quietly started referring to him as the second son of Zamora family.
Since Victor was brought up, it was clear Hayley wanted to discuss something with Daron.
Marina noticed Daron’s furrowed brow and spoke softly, “Go ahead.”
Daron shot her a look. “You’re not coming in with me?”
Marina pressed her lips together and said calmly, “Hayley probably just wants to talk to you alone. It’s not like I could help with anything in there.
She clearly didn’t want to go in.
Daron didn’t push it. He just nodded and said in a low voice, “Wait for me.”
And with that, he headed off with the butler toward the backyard.
Marina lingered for a moment, watching Daron’s figure disappear, then checked the time on her phone.
She didn’t know how long Hayley was going to keep him tied up in there.
Hayley never liked her anyway. If she found out Marina was waiting outside, she’d probably drag things out on purpose just
to mess with her.
Marina’s eyes turned cold. After weighing her options, she just asked one of the winery staff to drive her home, leaving Daron’s car and driver behind.

Chapter 335
If Daron came back later, his ride would be right there.
And if he decided to crash at the winery, that was his business.

By the time Marina got back home and finished getting ready for bed, half an hour had already slipped by.
Daron still hadn’t called, which meant he was probably still stuck talking to Hayley about Victor.
She checked the time and decided not to wait for him. Hugging a pillow, she headed to the side room she’d first stayed in when she arrived, so that she wouldn’t be woken up when Daron returned.
Marina hadn’t shown up at any of the Finley Group meetings in ages. If she showed up tomorrow to represent Elnora, those old–timers would never accept her.
She had a tough battle ahead of her tomorrow, and she wasn’t about to waste her energy on petty drama with Hayley and
Zara.
At the Zamora Winery, Hayley saw Daron stand up from his seat and quickly got to her feet.
“Daron, it’s already one in the morning. By the time you get back to the villa and get settled, it’ll be almost two. Why not just stay here tonight? I’ll have someone bring your clothes over first thing tomorrow, so you can change and head straight to the office. That way, you’ll get some extra rest.”
Daron didn’t even hesitate before turning her down.
‘No need, Aunt Hayley. You should get some rest too,” he said.
‘Don’t worry about Victor. Once the ancestor worship ceremony is over, they’ll be gone. Grandpa won’t let them stay at the main house.” Daron said.
Hayley nodded softly and continued, “Honestly, even if Victor did stay at the main house, it wouldn’t really bother me.”
‘But that empty courtyard used to be Wilhelmina Zamor’s place. I won’t let them set foot there. That’s what Blanchard family wants, and it’s what I want too.”
Daron just gave a quiet, “Yeah. I understand.”
Hayley smiled, looking genuinely satisfied. “Daron, you’ve really grown up. Seeing how capable you are now, I can’t help but feel proud
“But honestly, marrying Marina was pretty impulsive. I happened to overhear Matthew today. He’s thinking about supporting Martin as your candidate, Martin is definitely talented, and I heard his fiancée’s family is really powerful
“If Matthew actually pushes for a shareholder vote to pick someone new later this year, Marina will be facing a ton of pressure as your wife.”
Hayley spoke with a worried look on her face, almost like she was genuinely concerned about how all this might affect
Marina.
