‘No matter how busy Daron is, it’s not like he can’t spare some time, Finn thought to herself.

“Did you make it clear to Daron that you were heading to Port City to visit Elnora?” Finn’s brows furrowed as he spoke in a
low voice.
Marina pursed her lips. Finn immediately pulled out his phone and wanted to call Daron, thinking that Daron could still make it at this hour.
Seeing this, Marina said, “I had wanted to tell him before I left, but Zara and his aunt were in his office discussing something with him, so I didn’t say anything. I’ll send him a message later.“.
Finn frowned. Seeing a hint of embarrassment flash in Marina’s eyes, he paused for a moment. ‘Perhaps it’s not that she didn’t want to tell, but Daron interrupted her when she was about to, he thought.
Kara immediately reached out and held down Finn’s phone, her face showing clear impatience.
“Zara and Hayley are honestly so annoying. Finn, maybe don’t call him. What if…” she trailed off.
‘Not many know that Elnora is sick right now, and things have just settled down at the Finley Group. If news about Elnora’s illness gets out, there’ll be trouble again at the Finley Group for sure,’ she thought.
In the end, Finn decided not to message Daron and just slipped his phone back into his pocket.
After boarding, Marina sat next to Kara. She suddenly remembered she hadn’t told Daron that she was heading to Port City.
She wouldn’t go back tonight, and she didn’t want him to ask around her wherabouts like he did the day before. So, before the plane took off, Marina shot Daron a quick message.
[I’m heading to Port City to visit my sister. I might be away for a few days.]
After Port City, she would be heading straight to Yorelia. After sending the message, she switched her phone to airplane mode and didn’t turn it back on until she landed in Port City.
Before boarding, Marina had contacted Elnora. So when they landed in Port City, the Campbell family members were already waiting for them outside the airport,
Marina and the other two got into the Campbell family’s car. The Campbell family truly lived up to their reputation as the most prestigious family in Port City. They sent ten cars to pick them up, all uniformly black luxury vehicles.
The Campbell family’s butler personally received them from the lobby and escorted them throughout. The drivers had already opened the car doors and were waiting respectfully.
Marina and the Gross siblings all got into the same car. The convoy pulled up to a place that looked more like a private estate than a regular house.
The convoy drove into a residence that resembled an estate. Led by the butler, Marina stepped in. As soon as she walked in. Marina couldn’t help but stare in shock at what she saw, her mind reeling.
‘Did the Campbell family move an entire hospital in here? Marina thought to herself, stunned.
The butler noticed Marina’s doubt and quietly explained, “Madam is very concerned about Young Madam’s health, so she specially hired a professional medical team from abroad.
“All the medical equipment in the house is brand new. Once Young Madam’s condition is fully stable and the cancer cells are

cleared, all this equipment will be donated to a designated hospital,” he said.

Everything the butler said revealed just how seriously the Campbell family was taking Elnora’s illness. Finn had worked with a medical equipment company for a while, so when he saw all this high–end equipment, he couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.
“The Campbell family really spares no expense for Elnora. Even the major hospitals in the country hardly possess such advanced medical equipment, he thought to himself.
With the butler leading the way, Marina stepped into Elnora’s room. Compared to the cold, clinical feel of a hospital, Elnora’s room was much cozier and more inviting.
As Marina walked in, Elnora, who was initially standing by the window, turned at the sound, a gentle smile spreading across her face.
“You’re here,” Elnora said.
Seeing Elnora wearing a hat, Marina took a deep breath, and tears streamed down her face almost instantly. Her sister’s delicate, beautiful hair was gone without a trace.
Marina knew what that meant. As Elnora was undergoing chemotherapy, she had shaved it all off. Elnora saw Marina crying, bit her lip, and her voice was gentle as she spoke.
“Why are you crying? Didn’t you see I’m doing just fine?” she said softly.
Marina sniffed lightly and quickly reined in her emotions. She reached out and wrapped an arm around Elnora’s waist, her movements gentle, as if afraid that even the slightest pressure might break her.
“It’s just… I haven’t seen you for so long, and I’ve been missing you,” Marina responded.
“Seriously, you said you’d only be here for a few days, but look how long you’ll be gone!” Elnora reached up, softly stroked Marina’s head, and said.
“My mom–in–law is overly worried about my condition, so she has long arranged a medical team. I was caught completely off guard, but fortunately, the treatment over this period has shown very positive results,” Elnora continued.
Marina gently hugged Elnora, burying her face in her sister’s neck, and said, “Elnora, you must get well soon.”
Elnora nodded. “Yeah,” she replied softly.
“If all goes well, the cancer should be under control in about a month,” she added. “You know it too. Since it’s detected early, it’s pretty curable, Elnora reassured her.
Marina nodded and continued muttering on, her voice thick with tears. No one brought up Albert. Elnora didn’t mention Daron either,
When Reese heard about the Finley family member’s visit, she made an effort to take time off from work just to come home and personally welcome Marina and the others.
Due to Marina’s visit, it was the first time in a long while that Elnora stepped out of the estate.
Reese genuinely cared for Elnora. Along the way, Marina could feel her care for her sister. She felt slightly relieved, and much of the worry in her heart eased.
‘At least Elnora wasn’t left to fend for herself in Port City, she thought.
Reese took Marina and the others to the most famous restaurant in Port City, Albert didn’t show up

When he walked into the private room, Reese gave him a warning glare, then made room for him to sit right next to Elnora.
After Albert took his seat, he shot a glance at Elnora before striking up a conversation. Elnora responded with a gentle smile, totally unfazed.
From the way they interacted, no one would catch even a whiff of awkwardness or anything out of place between them.
Without seeing all those tabloid scandals about Albert lately, everyone would have been completely fooled by how genuinely concerned he seemed about Elnora.
Resentment built up in Marina’s heart, but she held back, mindful of her sister’s feelings and out of respect for Mrs. Campbell. She didn’t lash out but merely cast a subtle glare at Albert.
Albert caught Marina’s glare. He paused for a moment while serving food to Elnora, then looked up and started chatting with Marina.
“Marina, you made the trip all the way from Vrufield just to visit your sister. Now that you’ve seen how well she’s being taken care of, I bet you’re finally able to relax a little, huh?” he teased.
Marina shot Albert a glance, then turned to Reese, seated beside him, and said.
“Seeing you treat Elnora just like your own daughter, I really have nothing to worry about. Mrs. Campbell, this toast is for you; thank you so much for taking such good care of my sister.”
As she spoke, Marina picked up her wine glass, stood up, and offered a toast to Reese.
Reese, with a cheerful grin, grabbed her wine glass and clinked it with Marina’s.
“Marina, since Elnora is married to our family, she’s part of the family. Don’t worry, in the Campbell family, nobody’s gonna mess with her or make her feel wrong,” she said.
Reese spoke with real swagger. When she finished speaking, she shot Albert a pointed look. Albert could only smile helplessly and raise his hands in mock surrender.
“All those tabloids are just full of nonsense. I didn’t do anything,” he said.
‘Elnora’s still sick. If I do anything to harm her at this point, I’m utterly inhuman, he thought to himself.
