Daron rarely saw Marina be so forward with him. He instantly reached up, cradled the back of her head, and pulled her as a deeper, more passionate kiss
His long, elegant fingers were entwined in Marina’s dark hair, the air between them thick with desire.
Marina wrapped her arms tightly around Daron’s waist.
Suddenly, Daron leaned down, and Marina lost her balance, falling back onto the bed
Just as he was about to make his next move, Marina’s phone started ringing
Not wanting the mood to be interrupted, she flung her phone away without hesitation.
Daron paused, breaking the kiss, and noticed Marina’s subtle expression. He let out a soft laugh.
Seeing the teasing smile on his lips, she blushed instantly.
But in the very next moment, she reached up, wrapped her arms around Daron’s neck, lifted her head, and continued what they hadn’t finished.
Afterward, Daron scooped Marina up in his arms and carried her to the bathroom to wash up.
Then he carried her back to bed.
Once they were tucked in, it hit Marina that she’d tossed her phone into the corner earlier.
She glanced up at Daron, hoping he’d get the hint.
Daron saw the look in her eyes, got the message, and hopped out of bed to grab her phone for her.
Marina glanced at her phone, saw it was Henry calling, and raised her eyebrow slightly, with no intention of calling back
Daron noticed and asked quietly, “Not calling back?”
Marina shook her head.
“Nothing important, I’m sure,’ she replied.
Daron didn’t ask any more questions. He just put her phone on the nightstand, wrapped his arm around Marina’s waist, and fell asleep with her.
The next morning, when Marina woke up, Daron was already at the office.
Ever since Daron left the Zamora Group, he’d devoted himself entirely to Cloudstorm Group.
No one sensed Daron’s ambition more than Marina did.
She understood it all too well.
When Marina came downstairs, Belinda had already set out breakfast.

Marina ate breakfast while checking the Finley Group’s work chat for updates
After breakfast, Marina said goodbye to Belinda and stepped out the door.
Henry’s call came through again.
Marina saw it was Henry calling, hesitated for a second, then answered, “Hello”
Her tone was cool and emotionless.
Henry was technically a business partner with the Finley Group. Even though Marina wasn’t too happy with him, she didn’t want to offend him openly.
She didn’t want him messing around at the factory and holding up the Finley Group’s deliveries.
When Henry heard Marina pick up, a big smile spread across his face.
“Marina, it’s Henry,” he said.
Marina frowned slightly, feeling annoyed at how Henry was trying to act all familiar with her.
“Hellp, Mr. Gill. Is there something you need
Marina’s voice was calm, but there was a clear distance in her tone.
Henry had long gotten used to Marina’s frosty demeanor.
After all, even back in high school, she’d always been that way, never letting anyone or anything get too close.
“Marina, I’m calling to talk over some things about the factory,” Henry said.
Marina responded in a calm, detached voice, “Mr. Chauvin has always been in charge of everything related to the factory.”
At this, Henry gave a small laugh.
“I know. But this time I’m not calling about the orders,” he said.
“Wasn’t the Finley Group interested in buying my father’s factory before?” he reminded.
‘He never wanted to sell, but lately his health hasn’t been great, and he’s come to terms with a lot, so he’s decided to let it go,” he continued.
“I’m not in the export business anymore, so the factory isn’t of any use to me now. That’s why I wanted to discuss it with you,” he added.
Marina paused for a moment, then replied, “If you’re really serious about selling, we can definitely talk it over.”
Hearing that, Henry jumped in quickly. “No time like the present. How about we meet tonight?”
“There’s no hurry,” Marina replied. “I’ll need to talk it over first.”
Henry gave a wry smile and said, “Marina, do you really need to check with Mr. Chauvin? Back then, I barely knew Mr. Chauvin, and I didn’t even realize you were tied to the Finley Group.”
“Considering the bond we share as former classmates, I’ll certainly give you the lowest possible price. I can even offer you a rate slightly lower than what Mr. Chauvin quoted,” he added.

Marine Danced up at Emeric with a slight strale and asked casually. So, Emeric, do you think it’s possible for us to buy the Gill farray’s factory
‘Since Henry is the one offering to sell, do you think we can drive the price down to rock bottom?” she asked
Emeric could tell Marina was all business, and he understood her intentions immediately.
Marina knew Henry was trying to cory up to her, so she leveraged his eagerness, pushing for the lowest possible price on the factory
Emeric nodded and suggested, “Since he’s the one offering to sell, we should definitely push for the lowest price. You go talk to him, and Fl handle the price negotiations behind the scenes.
But Marina shook her head after giving it some serious thought.
“No, she said, not missing a beat. Emeric, let’s go talk to him together?
Hearing this, Emeric raised an eyebrow
Marina glanced at Emeric and spoke in a low voice,
Honestly, I don’t want to get too close to him. If I go negotiate by myself and we end up with a super low price, he might go around bragging that he only gave that deal because of me. That could really mess with my reputation.”
Marina didn’t trust a single person from the Gill family.
So whenever she had to do business with them, she always made sure to watch her back.
Emeric caught on instantly to what Marina meant.
