The turn of events left Hayley totally stunned.
They’d only wanted to push Maring into reacting, but never expected Daron would be the one to step in.
Hayley looked panicked. She started to reach for Zara, but remembering what she’d just said in front of Daron and Marina, she quickly podled her hand back and held herself in check.

Daron, punish her however you want. I won’t stop you today.” Hayley said. With that. Hayley stepped aside, turning away with a pained expression.
She wiped at the corner of her eye, like she was brushing away tears.
Zara was left completely dazed by Daron’s kick.
She’d been planning to latch onto Marina again if she got kicked off.
But now her mind was totally blank. She couldn’t remember a single step of her plan.
She just stared at Daron, too stunned to even cry.
The next second, Daron fixed her with a cold, stern look and said in a low, commanding voice, “Since you love the ground so much. then just stay right there.”
With that, Daron wrapped his arm around Marina and walked inside.
Seeing this, Hayley quickly spoke up.
“Daron, it’s my fault for not raising Zara right. However long she has to stay on the ground, I’ll accompany her until you both forgive her.”
Daron wasn’t fazed by Hayley’s words. His voice was indifferent. “Suit yourself.”
Hayley was left completely stunned by Daron’s simple response.
She just stood there, frozen, her face stiff.
It wasn’t until the villa door closed that she snapped out of it and hurried over.
She raised her hand and knocked.
“Daron,” Hayley called out.
But all she got in response was the hollow sound of her own knocking.
Hayley took a deep breath, her hand dropping to her side, clenching into a fist.
Zara was still frozen in the spot where Daron had kicked her, her eyes glazed and unfocused.
Hayley walked over, shot her a glance, and rubbed her temples.
With security cameras watching the villa entrance, she couldn’t risk helping Zara up.
After all, she had to keep up her angry act.
Zara bit her lip, lowering her voice as she whispered, “Mom, what do we do now?”
Their whole sob story didn’t fool Daron one bit.
Zara finally realized Daron was all in for Marina, and he wasn’t about to cut them any slack.
Hayley let out a heavy sigh and whispered, “Just stay on the ground. Daron’s bound to soften his heart eventually. I’ll stay right here with you.”

They varged on the spot all night, but Daron didn’t ask anyone to tell them to get up.
By the middle of the night, the temperature dropped sharply, and Zara was shivering uncontrollably on the ground
Hayley was freezing too, so exhausted and drowsy that she was on the verge of passing out
Luckily, it wasn’t long before the villa door finally opened.
A glimmer of hope flashed in Zara’s eyes as she quickly tugged at Hayley’s pant leg
Hayley opened her eyes, saw Belinda standing at the door, and hurried over.
“Belinda, is Daron willing to forgive Zara now?” Hayley asked.
Belinda shook her head, her eyes unfriendly as she stared at Hayley.
She said solemnly, Ms. Blanchard, someone called from the Zamora mansion earlier. Since you two are so fond of grovelling, why not grovel at Mr. Blanchard’s birthday party in front of everyone?
“Let all the Blanchard family’s guests see exactly what you and your daughter have done.
Hayley shivered slightly at those words.
Belinda shot a glance at Zara, who was still on the ground, and said sternly, “Mr. Zamora said to take your daughter and leave. Mrs. Zamora will never forgive her.”
Hayley’s face went ghostly pale, her teeth digging into her lip.
Belinda looked away from Zara and advised, “Ms. Blanchard, you’d better take your daughter and go. Don’t stick around and make everyone annoyed with you.”
Hayley nodded awkwardly, then seemed to recall something and asked, “Are Daron and Marina already asleep?”
Belinda nodded.
“They went to bed not long after they got back. They’re way too busy to bother with you two,” Belinda said.
With that, Belinda shut the villa door without another word.
Hayley’s face stiffened at those words.
Marina and Daron had already gone to bed. So all those hours they’d spent acting out their little drama, shivering in the cold, had been for nothing.
Hayley closed her eyes for a moment, then turned and walked over to Zara, her voice low and grave. “Get up. We’re going home.”
Zara nodded and tried to push herself up from the ground.
But her legs had been numb from being on the ground for so long that she couldn’t feel a thing.
As she tried to stand, she stumbled and nearly fell forward.

Sing talk, Hewly cake’t keep up her act any longer. She rushed over and helped Zara up.
- We’ll head home and figure out our next move,” Hayley said.
Zara nodded, letting Hayley support her as they left.
She could barely walk, leaning almost entirely on Hayley for support.
Seeing Zara barely able to stand, Hayley’s heart twisted with pity as she tried to comfort her.
“Zara, don’t ever forget what happened tonight. One day, when we’re back on top, we’ll make Marina pay for every bit of this.” Hayley vowed.
Zara modded, her eyes full of ruthless resolve.
Soon, Zane’s car pulled up in front of them.
Hayley quickly helped Zara into the car.
When Zane saw how disheveled and defeated Hayley and Zara looked, he let out a soft sigh.
“Why put yourselves through all this?” he said.
It was obvious that Daron wanted nothing to do with them anymore.
They should just hold onto whatever leverage they still had and be content with their lot while Daron hadn’t completely fallen out with them yet.
