Stella had just bumped into a waiter at the entrance as she was heading out, and ended up with red wine all over her dress.

Now her dress was sticky with wine, and she looked a total mess.

Stella ignored Mr. Brewer’s concern, her gaze locked onto Albert, looking fragile and almost pleading.

Her cheeks were bright red as she spoke softly.

“I’m not feeling well,” she said.

She sounded almost desperate to cry as she spoke.

James quickly said, “I’ll call a doctor for you. We have a professional doctor here at the winery.”

But Stella shook her head and said softly, “Thank you, Mr. Brewer, but I just want to go back to the hotel right

now.”

James noticed Stella’s unease and glanced over at Albert.

Before James could say anything, Stella spoke up. “Albert, can you walk me back to the hotel? We’re staying at the same hotel, and my room’s right next to yours.”

At her words, Albert’s eyes deepened, his expression growing more unreadable.

Seeing Albert didn’t move, Stella bit her lip..

James, ever the gentleman, turned to Albert and said, “Mr. Campbell, it looks like Stella only feels comfortable with you.”

Stella was barely able to stand, starting to lean toward James.

James steadied her and helped her over to Albert.

Stella immediately reached out for Albert, trying to cling to him.

But Albert stepped aside.

Stella stumbled, nearly falling, but Albert caught her arm and gently pushed her toward the driver.

The driver instinctively caught her.

Albert’s expression never changed throughout the whole ordeal. He spoke to Mr. Brewer in a calm, indifferent voice, “Mr. Brewer, I’m heading out now. Let’s meet again another time.”

James nodded with a smile. “I’ve still got guests at the winery, so I can’t walk you out.”

Albert nodded. “Go ahead, I know you’re busy.”

James glanced at Stella’s messy appearance, frowned slightly, then gave a faint smile before turning back into the winery.

He didn’t have a good impression of Stella.

He’d already decided not to involve her in anything.

Right now, all Stella wanted was to get back together with Albert.

When Albert pushed her into the driver’s arms, her mind was a little fuzzy, but secretly, she felt relieved.

‘Thankfully, Albert didn’t just abandon me,’ Stella thought.

Stella let out a sigh of relief.

The driver was about to help Stella into the back seat.

But Albert said, his voice icy, “Have her sit up front.”

Albert could see right through Stella. He knew something was definitely off with her.

The driver quickly opened the front passenger door and ushered Stella into the seat.

Stella was clearly upset by Albert’s words.

She gripped the car door tightly, tears glistening at the corners of her eyes as she looked at Albert.

“Albert, I’m really uncomfortable; it’s really bad. Can I sit in the back, please?” she pleaded. “I…”

Albert cut her off before she could finish, his voice icy. “Fine, I’ll call you a cab. Go back on your own,” he said.

Stella looked up at Albert, searching his face for any sign of warmth.

Albert gave her a cold, indifferent look, his expression unreadable.

She bit her lip hard, then reluctantly let go of the door, clearly frustrated but with no choice.

The driver quickly ushered Stella into the front passenger seat.

Stella was totally wiped out, barely able to move.

But she was still clear-headed. She knew she couldn’t waste this opportunity.

So on the ride back, Stella pushed through her discomfort and kept trying to talk to Albert, refusing to let the moment slip by.

‘I love you, Albert, Stella confessed. ‘I didn’t want to break up with you. I had no choice.

‘I regret it so much… leaving you was the worst mistake I ever made.

‘I don’t care about titles or status anymore, as long as I can be with you!

Chapter 581

:.

The whole time, Albert was completely unmoved.

As Stella kept talking, her voice broke into soft sobs.

Even the driver up front was touched by her words.

😀

But Albert, in the back seat, remained stone-faced the entire ride.

He just sat there, checking his phone from time to time.

Not a single message from Elnora all day.

When they arrived at the hotel, Albert was the first to get out and head inside.

The driver quickly asked, “Mr. Campbell, what about Ms. Taylor?”

Albert replied, “Just ask her which room she’s in and escort her to her room.”

A flicker of panic flashed in Stella’s eyes as she heard Albert’s words.

She hurriedly called out after him.

“Albert,” her voice trembled. “Can you walk me to my room? I’m really scared. How could you just let some other guy take me to my room?”

Albert ignored her completely and strode straight into the hotel without even looking back.

Stella was left in utter panic, her heart racing as she watched him disappear.

The driver walked over and opened the passenger door.

As he reached out to help her out, Stella broke down emotionally, panic flooding her face.

“If you lay a finger on me, I’ll sue you!” she shouted.

“I’ll press charges!” she cried.

Stella’s body was so weak she could barely move. She tried to push the driver away with all her strength, but her effort was so feeble it didn’t even budge him.

She burst into tears, sobbing in frustration.

The driver frowned, worried he’d get himself into trouble, so he went inside and brought out two hotel girls to get Stella out of the car.

The hotel girls weren’t exactly strong, so they pretty much had to drag Stella inside.

After a lot of struggle, the two of them barely managed to get Stella onto the bed.

Stella lay on the bed, tears streaming down her face.

No matter what she did, her body just wouldn’t settle down.

Albert kept ignoring her, not even sparing her a glance.

Stella forced herself to sit up, then leaned against the wall as she made her way to the door, desperate to find

Albert.

But as soon as she opened the door, she was met by two female bodyguards standing right there.

The bodyguards saw Stella and immediately spoke up.

“Hello, Ms. Taylor. Where are you going?” one of them asked.

Stella slumped against the doorframe, her face changing slightly when she saw the bodyguards. She quickly said, “I’m looking for Albert. I need to talk to him about something,” her voice trembling.

The bodyguards frowned when they saw the state she was in, but didn’t say a word.

Stella took a deep breath and saw the contempt in their eyes.

She knew she was embarrassing herself, but there was nothing she could do.

Still, she just couldn’t stop herself.

Now she finally got what Kamron meant when he said she’d stay clear-headed.

Her body and her mind were totally out of sync, fighting each other every second.

She couldn’t even think about being with another man. Her whole heart was set on Albert, and nobody else.

But Albert just kept ignoring her.

Her body was so uncomfortable, she felt like she was about to break down.

If she really lost control and went to someone else, she’d never be able to live with herself. Her heart just couldn’t get past it.
