Stella didn’t care how those women were looking at her. She walked straight toward Albert’s room.

But the bodyguard reached out an arm to block her path, his voice deep and serious. “Miss Taylor, I’m sorry, but you can’t go anywhere.”

Stella gritted her teeth. “I’m going to see Albert. I told you, I’m going to see him.”

She was feeling so miserable that she couldn’t keep up her usual gentle persona anymore. Her face contorted with frustration.

The female bodyguard stood firmly in her way, unmoved.

She said, “Albert gave clear instructions. You’re not allowed to leave this room.

“If you’re really feeling uncomfortable, we can arrange to take you to the hospital.

“Would you like to go to the hospital now?”

Stella took a deep breath, biting her lip hard. “No, I’m not going.”

She just couldn’t believe it. She refused to believe Albert’s heart could really be that cold.

They’d been together for three years, and all that time, no matter what she did, Albert always did whatever she wanted.

She couldn’t believe he’d just stand there and watch her suffer, like he didn’t even care.

The female bodyguard’s face stayed blank as she gestured for Stella to head back to her room.

She said, “Since you don’t want to go to the hospital, please return to your room.”

Stella’s face was grim as she fixed her glare on the bodyguard, her voice low and threatening.

“Treat me like this, and I promise you’ll regret it,” Stella said.

The bodyguard didn’t flinch at Stella’s threat. She just tapped the recorder on her shoulder.

“My actions are all on record. If you think I’ve crossed a line, you can always complain to my supervisor, Mr. Campbell,” she said.

Stella’s face changed for a moment as she glanced at the recorder on the bodyguard’s shoulder. She could only grit her teeth and head back to her room.

As she closed the door, the bodyguard spoke in a low voice.

“Miss Taylor, if you’re really feeling uncomfortable, why not try a cold bath?” she suggested.

Stella clenched her jaw and slammed the door shut.

Chapter 582

Back in her bedroom, Stella collapsed onto the bed, her whole body aching and uncomfortable.

But she just couldn’t accept that Albert would really treat her like this.

She grabbed her phone and tried calling Albert.

But every time, the call just went straight to voicemail.

Stella finally snapped, smashing her phone hard against the wall.

Half an hour later, not ready to give up yet, Stella opened her door and stepped out into the hallway again.

The bodyguard was still stationed right outside her room.

As soon as Stella appeared, the female bodyguard’s face immediately hardened.

Stella began, “I…”

Before Stella could finish, the bodyguard interrupted her, her tone icy.

“Albert has already gone back home,” the bodyguard said. “He’s out of reach now.”

Stella could hardly believe her ears.

Albert had really just left her behind and gone back home.

She took a deep breath, feeling so dizzy she almost lost her balance.

‘I don’t believe it,’ Stella thought.

The bodyguard gave her a cold look and said, “Miss Taylor, this is already the second time you’ve tried to leave.”

Stella looked puzzled, her eyes narrowing in confusion.

“What?” she said.

The bodyguard spoke in a low, serious voice. “If you step out again, we won’t stop you, and we won’t protect you. If anything happens to you after that, you’re on your own.

“Also, Mr. Campbell asked me to remind you. You’re still an artist under Supernova Entertainment. If your actions end up getting your debut boycotted, you’ll have to pay back every cent Supernova spent on you.”

Stella’s expression shifted sharply, and she sank to the floor in defeat.

The bodyguard no longer tried to stop her, simply standing to the side of the door.

Stella bit down hard on her lip, then finally forced herself to return to her room.

Once inside, she headed straight for the bathroom and took a cold bath.

Even after the cold bath, Stella still spent the whole night suffering.

The next morning, Stella got up and walked over to the mirror.

She saw her reflection-heavy dark circles under her eyes, her face sallow and haggard.

She bit her lip hard, feeling mortified and furious at everything she’d done last night.

She closed her eyes, wanting to call Albert and explain what happened.

But as soon as she remembered refusing to go to the hospital, she just couldn’t swallow her pride and make the call.

She really didn’t want to hear anything from Albert that would break her heart.

Standing in front of the mirror, Stella just wanted to cry.

Right then, her phone lit up with a call from Kamron.

Stella saw the name and answered.

“Kamron.” Her voice was shaky, almost breaking with tears.

Kamron already knew Albert had left for Port City last night.

“Guess your plan flopped,” Kamron spoke with zero emotion.

Stella mumbled a quiet “mm,” too embarrassed to lift her head.

‘This is so humiliating, Stella thought.

‘I don’t even know how I’m supposed to face Albert now,’ she admitted to herself.

“What am I supposed to do, Kamron? I think I’ve lost Albert for good,” Stella said, her voice tight with anxiety.

Her voice was tense with worry.

Kamron was silent for a moment, then replied in a flat, emotionless tone.

“It’s not like he’s gone for good,” Kamron said. “There’s still a spot for you in Albert’s heart. After all, you were the girlfriend he dated the longest.”

Kamron didn’t want Stella to completely lose her confidence right now.

That would mess up his plans.

Stella’s quiet sobs filled the room.

‘Three years together-does it even matter?’ she thought.

Albert acted like he didn’t care at all last night.

Even when she called out to him, he wouldn’t even look at her.

‘He really doesn’t care about me anymore,’ she thought, her heart sinking.

Stella had never felt this crushed before.

Kamron listened to Stella’s quiet sobs, then spoke in an even, flat tone. “Don’t stress. The only reason you’re feeling so awful is that you actually remember everything that happened last night.

“But nobody else knows you remember. Just tell Albert you drank the wrong thing and that’s why you acted

like that.

“Say you don’t remember anything from last night, apologize, and tell him you hope you didn’t cause him any trouble. That’s all you need to do.”

Stella managed to pull herself together a bit after Kamron’s words.

She wiped her tears away and thanked him, feeling a little steadier inside.

“Kamron, thank you,” she said. “I’m lucky to have you as a friend.”

Kamron just chuckled quietly, not saying anything else.

Stella continued, “Kamron, are you taking me to meet Mr. Brewer today to sign the contract?”

“Since you recommended me for this job, don’t worry. I’ll do my best on the commercial and make sure Mr. Brewer isn’t disappointed.”

A sarcastic smirk appeared on Kamron’s lips as he said in a cold tone, “No, that’s not necessary.”

“Albert’s already back in Port City. You might as well head home today,” Kamron said.

Stella paused, not quite sure what Kamron meant.

She asked carefully, “Does that mean the commercial’s canceled?”

Kamron replied with a flat “mm.”

He never thought Stella would totally lose it and embarrass herself so badly at the banquet.
