They wouldn’t be coming to her otherwise.

Just then, Jared, who had been silent, blocked Tracy’s path. “You think you can just walk away after turning our company upside down? There’s no such thing. If you hadn’t run to Grandma and tattled, we wouldn’t be losing all these contracts. You need to take responsibility for what you’ve done. Come to Xander Corp. If you sign the contract over to us, we can forgive you.”
Because of this, Xander Corp was in crisis. He had thought about it for a long time, and securing the contract with the Medical AI Department was the only viable solution. It was the most permanent and, more importantly, the most cost-effective solution. After all, a problem that could be solved with a few nice words was the best kind of problem.
And the only leverage to make that happen was in Tracy’s hands.
Tracy stared at him coldly. “You’ve really taken shamelessness to a whole new level. You’re the ones who tried to blacklist me, who tried again and again to nail me to a pillar of shame. But your plan failed, and it only made me more successful. If you had succeeded, you would have ruined my life, wouldn’t you? How dare you, after trying to destroy me, twist the truth and blame me for it? Are you even human?”
Hearing Jared’s shameless words, Tracy found it laughable. Sometimes, she truly felt that they and Yvonne were the real family-equally shameless, equally heartless, and completely united in their quest to destroy her.
Thank god she no longer cared. Otherwise, they would have literally angered her to death. It was disgusting.
Jared was momentarily speechless.
He quickly recovered, softening his tone. “No matter what, you are a part of the Xander family. Xander Corp is in trouble, so of course, you have to help. That dead-end salary you’re making at Vector… you’d be better off coming back to help us. I’ll double your salary. What do you think?”
He assumed Tracy was desperate for money and would agree. After all, the Xander family was her safety net. Working for others meant you were just an employee; working for your own family was the only long-term plan. He was confident Tracy understood this and would help them.
Yvonne was furious but said nothing. The moment the Xanders realize Tracy is useless, her time will be up. I’ll just endure this for two more days. She’ll be finished soon. Let her be arrogant.
At this thought, Yvonne took Tracy’s hand, her eyes red. “Jared’s right. You should come back and help. After all, you’re family. Blood is thicker than water.”

Trevor also chimed in. “Tracy, I know you’ve been wronged. You saw me-I’ve already punished Chase for you. Just be the bigger person and forgive him. I promise, if you come back to help us, we will agree to any conditions you have.”
Although he had little regard for this daughter, she held the key to the AI contract. As long as he got that contract, all their problems would be solved, and they could stop living on edge at the company.
Faye added, “That’s right, Tracy. It’s not easy for your father and Jared to manage the company. Just help your father. You saw him hit and scold Chase. You should let your anger go. We’re all family; there’s no need to hold a grudge.”
She certainly didn’t want Tracy back. The moment Tracy returned, she would compete with Yvonne for shares. Faye wished Tracy would stay as far away as possible. But the situation demanded she put on an act. Besides, in two days, that contract would change hands, and Tracy would be finished. If Yvonne can get that contract, our futures will be set. And when that old hag finally dies, her shares will go to Yvonne, too. She was happy just thinking about it.
As long as they could trample Tracy underfoot, they would do whatever it took. Once they fully blacklisted her, she wouldn’t be able to survive in Northport, and they wouldn’t even have to lift a finger.
Tracy looked coldly at the group. “You are a family. I’ve never enjoyed the Xander family’s ‘honor,’ but now you expect me to take the blame for its bankruptcy? How can you even say that? My mother and I never took a cent from the Xander family. Your successes and failures have nothing to do with me. Or have you forgotten? You only have one daughter, Yvonne. She’s the Ph.D. from Northville University. I’m just an undergrad. If she can’t help you, how can I?”
