My mother sighed. “Mom knows we wronged you before because of Sophie, but she’s admitted her mistake. Can’t you forgive her?”
Hearing this, I found it utterly ridiculous.
Last month, when Sophie falsely accused me of stealing her favorite Bulgari necklace, they froze all my credit cards, citing ‘bad character.’
Now it’s Sophie who’s made a mistake.
And they think a few light words can just brush it aside?
I looked up and said flatly, “Fine. If you want me to come back, sure.”
My parents were both stunned, waiting for my next words.
I took a deep breath and enunciated each word slowly: “On. The. Condition. That. You. Kick. Sophie. Out. Of. The. Williams. Family!”
