“I can’t believe this. William…. My brother William…. He is going to take an oath as the alpha of our pack tonight?” I exclaimed in shock and excitement. We were on our way to my pack. I was sitting at the back seat of the car with Theo. I heard my mother taking a deep breath.
“You should have been there, Cal. Both Adam and Rachel deceived us. I am sure that Prince Killian caught their lies the next they came in front of him. He is really intimidating and powerful,” she said with a sigh.
“Is he that powerful?” I asked her in a low tone. I was a bit scared now. We never told anyone about Adam’s rejection. What if he finds out about what happened between me, and Adam?
“Don’t think to too much, girl. You are making me anxious,” Luna scolded me immediately, making me take a deep breath. “Adam decided to go rogue right after Rachel rejected him. I didn’t want to say but I felt pity for him,” mom continued and I felt a bitter taste on my tongue.
“Whatever his reasons were for pulling this stunt, no one deserve to be rejected by his mate right after they mark each other,” she continued and I just scoffed internally. “Any ways….. How far you guys are now?” she asked me after sighing again.
“I will be back home in the next hour, Mom,” I told her truthfully while looking at Theo to confirm. He nodded in agreement. “About that…. Prince Killian will meet you right after your reach here, Crystal. He is especially waiting for you to reach here. I …. I don’t know why he is so determined to meet you,” she said in a worried tone this time.
“Mom…. Everything will be okay. I did nothing wrong. Then why do I have to worry, huh?” I comforted her in a gentle tone.
“I know honey… still… I… I can’t say… why I am so restless,” she said in a worried tone. I smiled and leaned on Theo’s shoulder.
“Did you find your mate, Crystal?” she suddenly asked me, making me startled by her question. “Wh… why did you ask, Mom?” I asked her dumbfounded and straightened my neck again.
“Well… I don’t want Prince to force you for be his chosen mate. He is powerful, and a powerful wolf like him wants a powerful mate for him,” she explained and I took a breath of relief.
“Don’t worry, Mom… I am not that weak,” I comforted her again in a firm tone. “Okay… now I am hanging up… I have a lot of preparation to do tonight, O yeah… don’t forget to visit Adrian and Elena, pup. They are completely broken,” she reminded me in the end.
“Alright, mom… See you soon then,” I said before hanging up. “I really can’t believe that both Adam and Rachel rejected their fates mates for power,” Theo chuckled dryly this time, making me purse my lips into a
thin line.
“Rachel rejected him in the end as she didn’t want to be a rogue with him,” I told him, and he scoffed while having a nasty expression on his face.

“Why are you nervous?” he asked me after some time. “Shouldn’t I be?” I asked him instead of answering him
in a low tone.
“No… you shouldn’t….. you do know that our family and our packs believes in fated mate bond. I am sure that they will accept the Moon Goddess’s decision in our case too,” he comforted me, making me smile faintly but my heart was still beating furiously.
“I wish for the same,” I said wh closing my eyes. I really wished to be Theo’s mate. We have our differences but we were a perfect pair. I patted my chest lightly to calm my heart down. Theo once again kissed the top of my head lightly, and I felt relaxed this time.
“You don’t know how desperate I am to make you mine. I am not sure if I will be able to control myself right after they accept our bond. Please bear with me, if I mark you right then,” he whispered to me while rubbing
my arm.
I slowly opened my eyes and moved my head while looking at him in surprise. “You dare,” I said and he smiled sheepishly. “I really want to,” he said and I glared hard at him. I didn’t want to be in an embarrassing situation like that.
“We are about to reach, alpha,” the driver informed us in a formal tone. I immediately straightened up my back and looked out of the window. I inhaled deeply, taking the familiar scent of home, filling my whole system. Although, I was out only for four days, yet I missed my home.
“William,” I screamed in excitement, when I saw him standing at the border post. I waved my hand to him while leaning out of the window.
“Be careful,” Theo scolded me while holding me by my waist. I didn’t attention to him while waving my hand to William. He smiled and waved back, making me squeal in delight. I couldn’t believe that he was going to be an alpha tonight.
The car stopped right next to the post, and I almost jumped out of the car. “William,” I ran towards him while spreading my hands in the air. I had the widest smile on my lips right now. He laughed while spreading his hands in the air. I took a leap in the air, and landed right into his embrace. He immediately hugged me tightly, securing me in his embrace.
“I am so happy for you,” I beamed while wrapping my hands around his neck. I rolled my eyes when I heard a loud growl behind me. I looked back at Theo and glared hard. He had a pissed look on his face right now.
“What’s wrong with you? Why are you looking at me as if you will kill me the next second, huh?” William asked him while walking towards him with me in his embrace.
“Theo…. Don’t,” I warned Theo immediately when he was about to open his mouth. My grip on William’s neck tightened in fear.
“What are you guys hiding? Theo???? Crystal,” William asked us suspiciously and I gulped down hard. Now it was the time to face the cruel reality, “Put her down, first,” Theo demanded while gritting his teeth. I could see that he was having a hard time to control himself.
“What’s going on here?” William asked in a frustration. “Let’s go home first, William… I… I need to tell. something to all of you,” I whispered to him, and hid my face in the crook of his neck. I was now in safe

“Put her down, William…. Please,” I heard Theo requesting in a stiff voice. I slowly unwrapped my legs from William’s waist and he gently put me down on the ground. I then released his neck from my grip.
“Are you okay?” William asked him while cupping my face. I saw worry on his face. “He is my mate, William,” Theo blurted out once again before I could open my mouth. I was done with this man.
“What? What rubbish are you king about, Theo?” William yelled in anger while pulling me in his embrace as he was shielding me from a danger. I heard so many gasps around us, making me feel embarrassed. How was I supposed to pass through this?
“I am telling the truth, William. I am her fated mate,” Theo said in a calm tone. My heart was beating so furiously that I could hear my own heartbeat clear and loud. “H…. how can it be?” William stuttered hard and his grip tightened on me.
“Let’s go home, William,” I whispered again while clutching his shirt tightly on his chest. “Yeah… yeah… I… let’s go home,” he repeated behind me but I could say that he was still processing what Theo told him. He then started walking towards his car with me in his embrace.
“Crystal will go with me, William,” Theo snarled, making us stop in our tracks. “I am going with William from here, Theo…. Please don’t make a scene here, and follow us,” I requested him in a low tone without looking at him. I knew that I was hurting him right now, but I didn’t want to embarrass myself anymore. I didn’t have that much courage.
I clenched my jaw while gripping William tightly when I felt Theo’s pain through the mate bond. This was what I was fearing to deal with.
“Everything will be okay, pup… You don’t have to scared,” William comforted me while walking towards the car. “I am scared, William… I… I don’t wan…. want to r… reject,” I choked, and he tightened his grip on me.
“Don’t think about rejection. I am sure th… that must be some mistake here. You don’t need to worry. You did nothing wrong. This is the Moon Goddess’s decision, not yours,” he comforted me and I was really glad that I had a brother like him with me.
I glanced behind me, and saw Theo standing outside his car. The hurt in his eyes was clear even from this distance. I passed a faint smile to him to ease his pain. His shoulders slumped down in defeat, and he entered the car. I also hopped in with William behind me.
“It’s good that you have found your mate already,” William muttered after some time, and I looked at him in confusion. I was still feeling inner turmoil and his statement confused me more. “What do you mean?” I asked him in confusion.
He took a deep breath and looked at me. “Although, Prince Killian is a man of principles and respects our laws, we are afraid that he will try to convince you to be his chosen mate. He knows everything about your wolf,” he told me and I pursed my lips into a thin line.
“Speaking about it, I am really mad at you, Crystal. Not even me, but Vincent is also disappointed when we came to know the reason why didn’t you shift on your birthday and why didn’t anyone pointed this out. I mean …. Come on… we are family and we…. We are your brothers. How can they hide vital information related to you from us,” he said clearly showing his disappointment.

“I…. I,” I tried to say something to comfort him but he raised his hand in the air to make me shut my mouth. “This is not your fault, love. You were young and under alpha’s command. You couldn’t tell us even if you wanted to. So… we are not mad at you… it… It just,” he trailed off and took a deep breath. The disappointment was clearly written all of his face. “I am sorry,” I whispered and he hugged me in his side embrace.
“Are you sure that Theo is your mate?” he asked me after some time, and I nodded. “My wolf confirmed it,” I told him truthfully. He sighed aloud and released me from his embrace. “Let’s hope that you don’t need to reject your mate, Crystal. I don’t want you to go through that pain when you don’t want to reject your mate,” he said in a hopeful tone.
“What am I going to do, William? I am really scared,” I said in a fearful tone, and he rubbed my arm to comfort me. “Everything will be okay, pup… don’t worry and stay calm,” he comforted me again but my worry increased as we got close to our house.
