Celeste and Jordyn quickly got into the car.
Jordyn then waved at Trevor. She only sat down properly after the car had driven out of the villa and his figure disappeared from view.
Then her gaze drifted back to Celeste.
There had been a lot going on at YodaVision. So, Celeste had been busy that day. On top of that, her period was making her stomach cramp, making her complexion dull.
Jordyn noticed it immediately.
Seeing how tired Celeste was, yet still came to pick her up personally, Jordyn’s mood lifted. She couldn’t help but call out softly, “Mom…”
“Mm?” That simple response was gentle, making Jordyn smile happily.
“Nothing. Just focus on driving.”
“Alright.”
That night, the Rodriguez family worked together to prepare a wide spread of Youtopia specialties. The atmosphere in the house was lively, almost like celebrating the New Year, and Jordyn’s laughter never
stopped.
The next day, Celeste returned to YodaVision after sending Jordyn to school.
There was a visitor coming to discuss a potential collaboration, and they had specifically requested to speak with Celeste.
Celeste’s capabilities had become widely recognized over the past year. So, Matthias didn’t think much of it and went off to handle other matters when he heard that someone wanted to work with her directly.
The guest was already in the reception room when Celeste pushed the door open and stepped in.
She saw several young, well-dressed women inside and politely extended her hand to one of them. “Ms. Lackspur, I presume? Nice to meet you.”
Narcissa Lackspur lounged on the couch, her gaze sweeping over Celeste. After a few seconds, a smile appeared on her strikingly beautiful face. It was only then that she set down her cup of coffee.
She didn’t stand and just gave Celeste a perfunctory handshake while seated. “So, you’re Celeste Rodriguez?”
Celeste sat down. “Yes. Ms. Lackspur, you know about me?”

Narcissa smiled. “Not personally, but I’ve heard about you.”
The way she said it carried no hint of praise.
Celeste’s expression didn’t change. “I heard that Lackspur Corporation is interested in collaborating with us on a project. May I ask what your requirements are?”
“Requirements? Of course.” Narcissa didn’t elaborate. She just gestured to the person beside her to pass over the documents. Then she lazily picked up her coffee again.
Celeste took the file and skimmed through it. She set it back down a moment later and said, “The scope outlined here is within our capabilities, and the pricing is reasonable.”
However, the document only covered the general outline.
Narcissa put down her coffee and gave the person beside her a look. The young woman immediately began discussing the details of the agreement and their core requirements with Celeste.
They talked for over ten minutes.
During that time, Celeste noticed Narcissa watching her the entire time, a faint, knowing smile playing on her lips. But Celeste ignored it.
After the discussion, the woman gave Narcissa a subtle nod.
Narcissa dabbed the corner of her mouth with a tissue and smiled. “Ms. Rodriguez, I’ve heard about your talent before. Now that I’ve seen it for myself, you truly live up to the reputation.”
It sounded like praise. But Celeste caught a trace of mockery in her eyes. By now, she understood that this visitor had come with unfriendly intentions.
She knew of the Lackspur family. But their business had shifted overseas in recent years, and they were seldom in Baumond. So, she didn’t know much about them, or about Narcissa in particular.
This was their first meeting, and she had no idea how she had offended her.
Pretending not to notice the sarcasm, Celeste calmly brought the conversation to a close.
“You flatter me, Ms. Lackspur. I have another meeting shortly, so I won’t be able to continue this discussion. If you are interested in cooperating with Yoda Vision, please prepare more detailed materials,
and we can discuss it next time.” 3
