Chapter 110 Calm No More

“He was pretty tall. I couldn’t see his face clearly. He was near the lake in the garden,” the boy added quickly. The moment he finished, his whole body finally relaxed.

Toby’s expression stayed calm. “I understand.”

He lowered his head, no one knew what he was thinking.

The classroom was still as noisy as ever.

Toby seemed like he truly had no reaction at all.

The boy let out a breath of relief and hurried out.

“Did anyone bring a gun?” It was at that moment that Toby, who had been sitting quietly the whole time with lowered eyes and an unusually peaceful look, finally spoke.

His voice wasn’t loud, but it was enough for the people around him to hear.

Silence could spread like an infection, especially at school. Loud, chaotic rooms could suddenly turn eerily quiet without warning.

That was exactly what happened now.

Toby repeated himself. “Did anyone bring a gun?”

No one dared answer. They only looked at each other.

Bringing contraband onto campus was a serious offense. No one dared admit it easily.

“Gary…” Toby called out coldly, naming him with perfect accuracy.

Gary Medina, who had been called out, felt his heart tremble and looked up instinctively.

Under Toby’s icy stare, Gary made a miserable face and slowly pulled a handgun out of his backpack.

Toby clearly knew his family background well.

Gary’s family was in the arms business.

The school banned weapons, but those rules were mostly aimed at outsiders.

Students at this age loved showing off.

He had barely managed to sneak contraband into school and hadn’t even had many chances to flex with it before Toby called him out.

“Do you… know how to use it? Need help?” Gary asked without thinking. Then he met Toby’s half-smiling gaze and immediately wished he could bite off his own tongue.

Asking if Toby knew how to use a gun? What a stupid question. With Toby’s family background, not knowing how to shoot would have been the real joke.

Chapter 110 Calm No More

Toby took the pistol, weighing it in his hand. It felt heavy.

He skillfully checked the magazine and looked over the model, as if measuring its firepower.

Then he spoke in a tone that could even be called gentle, “Thank you so much.”

He had always treated useful people well, especially those who provided important tools.

Under Gary’s horrified stare, Toby tucked the gun inside his school blazer and turned around with a clear destination in mind.

He was going to find that damned blond bastard.

“What’s he taking a gun for? Did he finally snap because of our nagging homeroom teacher and decide to physically send him to the afterlife?” one of the boys muttered quietly, trying to ease the tension with a joke.

Annie hadn’t expected Toby to casually walk around school carrying a gun.

She was so scared her face turned pale.

No matter how chaotic the outside world was, for students like them who lived at the top of the ivory tower, those things were distant stories.

Even if some of them had experienced kidnapping threats as children, that was still rare.

Annie couldn’t imagine Toby being this bold.

“No way. We’re just letting him walk out like that? What if… what if something happens?”

Her voice shook.

“Is it really that serious?”

“No way. He definitely knows his limits.”

“Should we follow him and see?”

Normally, when would they ever get a chance to watch Toby’s drama unfold?

That suggestion made everyone a little eager.

A brief silence followed.

“Annie, what is he taking the gun for?”

The girl bit her lip and whispered softly, “It feels even worse than getting cheated on.”

The day after Toby and Annie broke up, Annie immediately found a guy from a very good family and quickly started dating him.

At the time, they had all thought Annie was finished.

But nothing happened.

Chapter 110 Calm No More

Toby had seemed like he didn’t care much.

No one at school dared openly discuss anything related to Toby, so news about their breakup gradually faded away.

As for who had dumped whom…

They truly had no idea.

Annie and her close friends weren’t stupid enough to go around telling people she had been the one to break up with him.

Given how petty he could be, if word got out, he would turn around and make them pay for it.

Staying silent was the best option.

“We really shouldn’t go,” Annie said, grabbing her friend’s arm. “I’m scared he’ll start shooting at everyone. He looks like he’s about to lose his mind…”

“No way. Toby’s personality is usually pretty decent.”

To most people who didn’t know better, Toby was an impeccably polite straight-A student.

The school administrators adored him more than their own sons.

And with so many people around, how angry could Toby really get?

At that very moment, the Toby everyone was wildly speculating about was far beyond angry.

He was on the verge of going insane.

Why did all this filthy, low-class trash keep sneaking into his territory whenever he looked away and trying to corrupt Maya?

Maybe he should just have someone set up a sniper rifle at the highest point on campus and blow that guy’s head off with one shot.
