Chapter 185 Queen Maya and the Clingy BrotherÂ
George was puzzled.Â
“What? I’m not going to jail.”Â
His smile vanished at once. He didn’t get why everyone kept trying to send him there. “You don’t like me anymore? You took all the flowers I gave you at school.”Â
Maya said nothing.Â
She only took them because she was scared stiff back then.Â
Think about it: a teenage killer holding a bouquet, clothes stained with blood, smiling at you with a weird tone-who would dare refuse?Â
Maya shoved him hard. “Why do you like hugging people so much? Let go of me!”Â
Seriously, how does someone with zero sense of boundaries survive out in the real world?Â
He was around six feet tall. From her angle, he felt even taller.Â
He leaned his fluffy head closer.Â

Maya reacted instantly. She grabbed her toy wand and started smacking his head over and over.Â
He ignored the pain and hugged her tighter. One hand pressed the back of her head, pulling her into his chest. His voice turned soft and clingy.Â
“Are we really that fragile, Maya? You even hitting me with the wand I gave you.”Â
“What ‘we’? There is no ‘we. You scared me all the time at school.” Maya fought back, grabbing his hair. “Someone like you belongs behind bars, doing hard labor!”Â
“Okay, okay, don’t be mad.” George switched gears fast. He started buttering her up. “All hail Queen Maya! Long live Queen Maya! Just let me hug you, okay?”Â
His tone was over the top.Â
Like he was talking to a little kid.Â
But Maya liked it. “Fine. You can hug me.”Â
She could tell George really liked being close to people.Â
But almost no one in his family could stand it.Â

After getting his fill, George still wasn’t satisfied. He turned, ready to bother Alfred next.Â
Alfred didn’t even waste time. He went to his room, came back with a stun gun, and stood there with a blank face. Lips pressed tight, he pulled Maya behind him, careful and alert.Â
“Take one more step, and I’ll shock you.”Â
George was wordless.Â
“You, George, are an overgrown kid who can’t get along with people your age but somehow does great with little kids,” Raymond said after watching for a while.Â
His son had always been lonely.Â
Too naive. Too childlike.Â
But then again, he was only 16.Â
Right at that foolish age.Â
Toby was playing a game. Without looking up, he answered lazily, “Doesn’t he have a couple of friends?”Â
“I checked them out,” Raymond said. “Straight-A students. Clean backgrounds. He’s naive if he thinks normal people can really accept him.” There was a hint of amusement in his voice; he was enjoying the show.Â
“He’ll learn the hard way sooner or later.”Â
With George’s sensitive background, trying to make friends with ordinary people would only end one way, getting stabbed in the back.Â
Toby was looking forward to it. George had messed up, coming home, crying with his head in his hands.Â
Just thinking about it made him feel good.Â
“He runs around like a stray cat all day. A little hardship won’t hurt him,” Raymond added.Â
As a father, he had never been controlling. He preferred to let things play out on their own.Â
Toby turned off his game and stood up. His eyes were a little cold. He clearly didn’t like how George kept hugging people.Â
“George, both Maya and Alfred can’t stand you. Don’t you get the hint? If you’re that bored, go find yourself a prison and spend some time there.”Â

Maya and Alfred were both calm, steady kids.Â
And somehow, George still managed to annoy both of them.Â
That really said something about his talent for trouble.Â
George sat on the ground, looking up, crouched there like a well-behaved cat. Still, he argued back, unwilling to admit anything. “How is this my fault? If Maya doesn’t like me, that’s her problem. And if they both don’t like me, then obviously they’re on the same team.”Â
On the same team?Â
Toby was actually stunned by his logic.Â
Maybe George had really gotten on his nerves. Toby only stayed home for two days before he disappeared again.Â
An incident so serious happened at Harmony International School. The incident had a significant impact on the management and shareholders. The school shut down for an unknown amount of time.Â
With no classes, the kids were stuck at home for a long while.Â
Maya got bored. She even invited her best friend to come over and hang out.Â
Jenny refused right away. She smiled, but her voice sounded a little shaky.Â
Fine then. Anyway, those three months were painfully boring for Maya.Â

After borrowing the manpower from Ned, Raymond dumped the mess and ran off. His family had to step in and clean everything up.Â
Ned had been calling nonstop, yelling at Raymond.Â
Every time, Raymond would mute the phone for five minutes.Â
Once Ned had finished most of his rant, Raymond would turn the volume back on and offer a few half-hearted words to calm his brother.Â
That attitude made Ned even more furious.Â
