Chapter 656 Get Some Decency
Chapter 656 Get Some Decency
Half an hour later, Ludwig brought the guy right to Albert.
Albert was still waiting at the hospital entrance.
Ludwig yanked the guy out of the car and shoved him in front of Albert’s car.
“Mr. Campbell, he’s spilled everything. The Taylor Family had him wait here to snap photos, trying to make sure you and Stella are tied together,” Ludwig said.
The entertainment reporter kept his head down, didn’t even dare to look Albert in the eye.
Albert gave him a frosty stare.
“Look up. I want to see your face,” Albert said.
He wanted to see who, at such a critical moment, had the guts to stir up rumors about him and Stella, even with everything going on.
The reporter finally looked up, guilt written all over his face as he met Albert’s gaze.
He said, “Mr. Campbell, I know I messed up.
“I had no choice. That’s the only reason I posted that article. I’m a regular guy. I can’t afford to mess with the Taylor Family. They came after me, and I…”
Albert cut him off, his face unreadable.
“So you can’t afford to cross the Taylor Family, but you think you can afford to cross me?”
Ludwig gave the reporter another jab with his elbow.
The reporter let out a muffled groan and immediately apologized.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Campbell. It’s all my fault. I know I messed up, I swear I won’t do it again. Please, let it go this
once.”
Albert sat in his car, his gaze emotionless as he stared at the reporter.
The reporter’s face was marked with bruises. Obviously, Ludwig had taught him a lesson before bringing him
over.
Albert’s expression was icy, and he stayed silent.
The reporter couldn’t figure out what Albert was thinking, so he blurted out everything the Taylor Family had told him, dumping it all at once.
Albert listened in silence. After a long pause, he finally spoke coldly, “Did Stella know the Taylor Family put you up to this?”
The reporter shook his head. “I’m not sure if she knew. The people I dealt with were from the Taylor Family.”
Ludwig heard that and kicked the reporter hard.
“Just tell the truth,” Ludwig barked.
The reporter’s face was all teary as he looked at Albert, barely daring to breathe.
“I really don’t know. I’ve never even met Ms. Taylor,” he said.
Albert cast a cold, steely glance at the reporter.
The reporter immediately lowered his head.
“I don’t know if Ms. Taylor and the Taylor Family ever communicated about this,” he added quickly.
Seeing Albert stay silent, Ludwig quietly asked.
“Mr. Campbell, do you want to take him to face Ms. Taylor?”
Albert shot Ludwig a look.
“Get me a ticket to Frency. Right now,” Albert ordered.

Ludwig immediately took out his phone and started booking.
“There’s a flight to Frency at 1 AM, Mr. Campbell. Want me to book that one for you?” Ludwig asked.
Albert nodded.
The reporter noticed Albert wasn’t planning to mess with him, so he quietly let out a sigh of relief.
Just when he thought he was in the clear, Albert gave him a cold stare and said in a flat voice, “From now on, I don’t want to see him anywhere in the media business.”
Ludwig nodded. “Got it, Mr. Campbell.”
The reporter’s face turned pale as a sheet, his eyes full of panic as he stared at Albert and started begging for mercy right away.
“Mr. Campbell, please, give me one more chance. I know I messed up, I swear I’ll never do it again.
“I’ll go back tonight and clear things up online. Let everyone know it was the Taylor Family who made me do it.
I…”
Albert scratched his ear, looking like he couldn’t care less.
Ludwig immediately dragged the guy away.
Just as Ludwig was about to get the guy into the car, he paused, turned back to Albert, and asked carefully,” Mr. Campbell, should I take him to confront Ms. Taylor? See how she responds?”
Albert glanced toward the hospital, then said indifferently, “No.”
Whether Stella knew about any of this or not was of no consequence to him now.
He and Stella were already history.
Whether Stella was in on it with the Taylor Family or not, none of it mattered anymore. Ludwig nodded and shoved the entertainment reporter back into the car.
The reporter sat stiffly in the back seat, his face frozen, not daring to move a muscle.
Once Ludwig pulled the car away from Albert’s, the reporter finally dared to whisper to him.
“Mr. Lederman, I swear I’ll never do it again. Can you cut me some slack? Please, just let me go. I promise I’ll stay out of this mess for good,” he pleaded.
Ludwig nodded at the reporter’s words.
“Alright,” he replied.
A flicker of relief crossed the reporter’s face, but he still looked at Ludwig, not quite sure if he meant it.
“Really?”
Ludwig nodded, unfazed.
He said, “Yeah, really. You were just a pawn, I get it. No point making things messier. Just steer clear of this stuff from now on, and you’ll be fine.”
The reporter nodded hard, relief flooding his face.
He knew Ludwig was his best shot at getting out of this mess.
After all, if Ludwig followed Albert’s orders, he’d have to put the word out to everyone in the media business.
That’s a huge hassle, and he’d end up owing people big time.
“Thanks, Mr. Lederman. I promise, I’ll never do anything like this again,” the reporter said.
Ludwig didn’t say anything.
On the way, Ludwig dropped the reporter off.
The reporter opened the door, got out, and gave Ludwig a deep bow of thanks.

Ludwig didn’t say anything. He started the car and pulled away, leaving the reporter behind.
After driving for a while, Ludwig pulled out his phone and made a call, spreading the word to blacklist that entertainment reporter from the entire media industry.
Ludwig had been by Albert’s side for years. He knew exactly how Albert handled things.
Albert had already started cracking down on those gossip-mongering media outlets lately.
The reporter took the Taylor Family’s money and went ahead with the scheme, fully aware of what would happen if Albert caught him.
He was just gambling on luck, thinking that if he got busted, begging for mercy would be enough.
Ludwig wasn’t the soft-hearted type.
If he let the reporter off the hook and the guy started posting nonsense online again, Ludwig would be the one paying the price.
Ludwig only agreed earlier because he didn’t want to deal with the reporter’s whining, so he went along to get him off his back.
After getting a reply, Ludwig thanked them politely and ended the call.
At the hospital entrance, Albert was about to drive off when Kailee stepped out of the hospital.
He glanced at his watch. There were still several hours to go before his flight.
Albert got out of the car, glanced over at Kailee, and said lightly,” Ms. Fuller, let me drive you home.”
Kailee thought Albert had left. Seeing him still waiting outside, whatever little grudge she’d felt earlier melted
away.
She walked over, bent down, and got into Albert’s car.
Kailee teased, “Guess you’re not totally heartless, kid.”
