< Married a Delivery Guy

Chapter 1

To get back at his adopted sister, my brother deliberately pushed a delivery guy onto the stage during the dating reality show I was participating in.

Under the spotlight, that Uber Eats uniform was glaringly

obvious.

The audience erupted in laughter.

“What’s this delivery guy doing up there?”

“Oh my god! The Williams heiress is going to marry a delivery guy?”

I stood frozen.

My brother strode up, put his arm around me, and whispered, “Emily, last time you got Sophie food poisoning and she had to have her stomach pumped. She’s still holding a grudge. I had no choice but to let you make a bit of a fool of yourself to make her feel better.”

“She’s young. Just indulge her a little.”

“Don’t worry, it’s just for show.”

“There’s no way the family would actually let you marry a delivery guy.”

The live broadcast was in chaos.

The host quickly tried to smooth things over, asking the delivery guy with a smile, “Hello, this is a live broadcast, a dating show. Are you perhaps lost?”

Just then, a scornful laugh rang out from the audience

floor.

“He’s not blind. Since he stepped on stage, it means he’s willing to match with Emily.”

I turned sharply and met Alexander Gray’s cold gaze.

He sat in the VIP section, dressed in an Armani haute

couture suit, hands folded on his knees.

His demeanor was that of a completely detached spectator.

My heart ached so much I could barely breathe.

We’d had a secret relationship for seven years, and we’d agreed to go public today on this show.

From the start of the program until now, I hadn’t been waiting for him to appear.

I’d been waiting for his cold indifference.

The host, sensing gossip, asked, “Mr. Gray, rumors say you and Emily grew up together. Are you sure you won’t come up?”

Alexander sneered, “Grew up together? That’s just a misunderstanding!”

Hearing this, David Williams shot to his feet, pointing at Alexander and roaring, “Alexander! You and my sister grew up side by side! Who was it that swore you’d never marry anyone else? And now you call it a misunderstanding? What kind of man are you!”

A few rich kids in the front rows snickered and gossiped.

“Isn’t it obvious? Young Master Gray has already moved

on.”

“I saw it with my own eyes yesterday, Alexander was accompanying that adopted Williams girl picking out a diamond ring at Tiffany’s.”

“I heard he was forced to come today by his family. He never intended to go on stage.”

So that was it.

I closed my eyes gently, forcing back the tears that threatened to fall.

When I opened them again, I took a step forward and said loudly, “What’s wrong with being a delivery guy? Are you all so noble that you never order takeout?”

“If he has the courage to stand up here, then I have the courage to choose him!”

David grabbed my wrist. “Emily! Have you lost your mind?”

Llooked up at him, tears betraying me and falling

There was a time when this brother would carry me home if I scraped my knee.

Now, for Sophie’s sake, right here on live TV, he was personally pushing me into this absurd situation.

I laughed coldly. “David, isn’t this exactly what you

wanted to see?”

“The whole country is watching this live stream. The Williams heiress will marry a delivery guy. Your precious Sophie should be satisfied now, right?”

David was stunned, then his brow furrowed deeply. “You’re still blaming Sophie? That day, she was just…”

I stopped listening to the rest, turned, and walked towards the figure in the delivery uniform on the other side of the stage.

The crowd parted automatically, their mocking eyes pricking me like needles.

As I passed Alexander, he stood up and blocked my path.

He said irritably, “Emily, don’t be reckless. I know you’re angry with me, but there’s no need to get back at me like

this.”

When I didn’t respond, he softened his tone. “We grew up together. I’ve always thought of you as a little sister. Listen to me, come back with me. I’ll help you find a good man who deserves you later.”

I stopped and looked back at him with a light laugh. “A little sister?”

Alexander was momentarily speechless, his eyes darting away, unable to meet my gaze.

I stared straight at him. “Alexander, is it so hard to admit you’ve fallen for Sophie?”

“Compared to using ‘little sister’ as an excuse now, being honest would be more dignified.”

“I…”

He hesitated, his face grim.

¿didn’t hesitate any longer. I stepped around him and 6:54

walked up to the delivery guy.

A wave of reckless impulse seized me,

I looked up at him and asked loudly, “You, do you dare marry me?”
