After a pause, Chase continued, “The only way she could have passed two rounds is by using shady, underhanded tricks to copy someone else’s answers. As her brother, I am ashamed of her. She’ll do anything just for a bit of petty rivalry. As punishment, I strongly demand that you penalize her severely. Otherwise, no one here will accept the result.”
Chase was annoyed that Waylon was defending Tracy, but it didn’t matter. The process wasn’t important, as long as Tracy was punished. He was sick of Tracy’s self-righteous and stubborn personality. She had a unique talent for driving people insane.
Waylon looked at Chase. “In your opinion, then, what kind of punishment would satisfy all of you?”
So this is how her family treats her. No wonder she claimed to be an orphan. This family was worse than any enemy. What kind of brother would, without knowing any facts, rally a crowd to completely destroy his own sister? He had really seen it all now.
Chase smiled cruelly. “I think she should be expelled and blacklisted from the entire industry, so she can never work in this field again. Someone like her, with a corrupt character and no skill, deserves to be trampled into the mud and never get up again.”
Once this nuisance Tracy was gone, Yvonne would no longer have to put up with her, and their family could finally live in peace. Their family had been in constant turmoil because of Tracy. If Tracy hadn’t run to Grandma and tattled, causing Jaded to be publicly humiliated, he wouldn’t be this furious.
This was all Tracy’s own doing. He couldn’t be blamed for being ruthless. He was going to destroy the very thing she was so proud of and wipe that arrogant look off her face.
Hearing Chase’s cruel words, a flicker of emotion finally broke through Tracy’s unflappable expression. Even though she held no expectations for them, the words still shocked her.
To stick up for Yvonne, my own brother is willing to destroy me. It was truly heartbreaking.

The question was sharp, and it was the one everyone wanted an answer to. A poor response would cause a public outcry and make everyone doubt the exam’s fairness.
Waylon glanced at Yvonne. She’s more clever than she looks. She was targeting Tracy at every turn, relentlessly.
He summoned Blue and addressed the crowd. “You all came here demanding an explanation. Fine. Then open your eyes and watch closely.” He ordered Blue to have Tracy’s third exam graded immediately and to bring it back, along with Yvonne’s, as well as all the exam papers for both candidates from all three rounds.
Blue left quickly. Waylon turned back to the crowd. “I had originally planned to announce this after all scores were finalized. But since you insisted on forcing my hand, I can announce Tracy’s results right now.”
The room fell silent as they waited.
Chase looked at Tracy coldly. “Tracy, if you know what’s good for you, you’ll apologize and confess right now. Otherwise, you won’t even know what hit you. All these people are waiting here for a result because of you. Don’t you feel the least bit guilty?”
“You are incredibly disruptive,” Waylon snapped. “If you say one more word, I’ll have thrown out.”

He couldn’t stand it any longer. Chase was relentlessly attacking Tracy. How was this any different from beating a confession out of someone?
Yvonne watched this, believing it was the fairest possible outcome. She was very confident in her own scores.
Tracy’s, on the other hand, would be abysmal. They certainly wouldn’t be high. By comparing the best student-her-with the worst-Tracy-Tracy was guaranteed to lose this time.
It seems Waylon was only pretending to help Tracy. In reality, he’s trying to help me. Thinking this, Yvonne smiled, her mood improving considerably.
