The crowd shook their heads, indicating no objections. Their industry hadn’t seen a genius of this caliber in many years. They were eager to see Tracy shine in the AI field. They loved a challenge-it was motivating and led to progress, unlike stagnating.
Yvonne snatched Tracy’s test paper. Staring at the answers, her face was a mask of sheer disbelief. Chase leaned in, his expression just as stunned, unable to believe that this was Tracy’s work. The solutions… they were staggering.
After the announcement, Waylon turned to Chase and Yvonne. “Do you still have objections to my decision?”
Chase pressed his lips together, saying nothing. Yvonne, unable to accept this reality, saw the world go black and fainted.
Chase quickly caught her. As he lifted her, he paused by Tracy and glared. “Are you satisfied now, Tracy? You’ve turned our entire family upside down, and now you’ve made Yvonne faint. I don’t know what underhanded method you used to get first place, but I’m telling you, we won’t let you succeed.”
This outcome was something he had never anticipated. They had always believed Tracy was mediocre, completely useless. Who knew she was actually this brilliant, able to stand out from such a talented crowd?

Tracy glared back, unintimidated. “Bring it on. You really think I’m scared? I earned this with my own skill. Are you blind? Control your sister, or I won’t be so polite next time. Only Yvonne gives a damn about the Xander family. I wouldn’t waste a glance on it.”
The Xanders’ ability to play the victim was as disgusting as ever. They were the ones who had started this. They had dragged her here. They were the ones who had tried to destroy her. If she didn’t have real skill, her reputation would be in tatters today. But even after getting completely humiliated, they were still piling all the blame on her. Their shamelessness was truly something else.
Chase gritted his teeth. “You… you just wait!”
The farce ended on a sour note. After leaving the university, Tracy received a call from Sam. The heat was suffocating, the sun toxic and blinding. It felt like you could be cooked alive just by standing outside for too long. She got in her car, blasted the air conditioning, and finally answered.

Sam’s excited voice came through. “Tracy, Mr. Waylon wants to sign the contract on Monday! You’re incredible! You’ve done the company proud. Oh, and your brother… I don’t know what got into him, but he suddenly backed off from interfering with our partnerships. These people smell opportunity a mile away. The second I hung up with Mr. Waylon, my phone started ringing with partnership offers.”
In truth, Vector had already been getting back on track after partnering with Johnson Corp and didn’t need other companies.
But someone had posted a video of Waylon announcing Tracy as the first-place winner who was being tapped for promotion. It quickly started trending.
As a result, Vector’s internal lines and Sam’s personal cell were ringing off the hook. Even some of the companies that had canceled their contracts saw the news and immediately called back, apologizing profusely and promising to add one or two points to their original offers. The company’s phone lines were completely gridlocked.
The reversal was so fast that no one had time to react.
The biggest reaction, of course, was from the Xander family. Not only was the video of Waylon announcing Tracy’s victory trending, but so was the video of Yvonne and Chase causing a scene and deliberately trying to bully Tracy.
