Chapter 216 The DNA Report
But when Faye saw the contents of the document, her expression changed dramatically. She instinctively moved to tear it up.
Yvonne stopped her. “Mom, don’t rip it. Do you know who sent this?”
Faye shook her head. “I have no idea. The delivery guy didn’t say anything, and it was sent anonymously.”
A flash of panic crossed Yvonne’s eyes. Who would send them this DNA test?

She suddenly remembered Tracy saying Sean had begun investigating the past. At the time, she hadn’t believed it. Had they found something? But how could they have gotten her and Trevor’s samples and already completed a test?
She was almost certain Tracy was behind this. Yesterday afternoon, Tracy had been rushing them to leave. Her goal must have been to get the samples.
At this thought, Yvonne gritted her teeth. “Tracy knows this much, and she humiliated me in public. It looks like she can’t be left alone.”
While the Xander family was in chaos, good things were happening for Tracy, one after another.
After the exam, Tracy returned to the company in the afternoon and immediately headed into a meeting to discuss their new success. Knowing they would be collaborating with the Medical AI Department, the team’s admiration for Tracy was becoming irrepressible.
Even while taking her exams, Tracy hadn’t neglected her work, writing down her ideas every day. As a result, the meeting ran long.
They finally adjourned at seven o’clock. Sam gathered his documents and said, “To celebrate this great news, let’s go out tonight. Everyone’s been so on edge lately. This is a good chance to relax.”
Smiles broke out across the conference room. Everyone agreed that such a great day was worth celebrating.
The
group went to one of Northport’s famous restaurants. Because they had a reservation, they were seated in a private room almost immediately.
It was Friday, and the restaurant was packed.

Fortunately, their room was quiet, making it easy to talk. Even though it was after hours, their conversation naturally drifted back to work. It was a very pleasant meal.
Sam suddenly raised his glass to Tracy. “Our company was able to secure this contract with the Medical AI Department all thanks to Tracy. The process wasn’t smooth, but the result was perfect. This celebration is for her. Come, let’s toast to Tracy for her first-place victory and for landing this contract. Cheers!”
Everyone raised their glasses, their faces beaming. Tracy raised her teacup to join them.
A female colleague beside her couldn’t help but tease, “Ms. Xander, this is your celebration. How can you substitute tea for wine? Mr. Zach is toasting you! You should have a few drinks. Am I right, everyone?”
Encouraged by the others, the colleague took the teacup from Tracy’s hand and poured her a glass of fruit wine.
Not wanting to spoil the mood, Tracy didn’t refuse. She raised the glass with everyone and drank it all.
It’s just a few glasses of fruit wine. It should be fine, right?
Tracy’s alcohol tolerance wasn’t just low; it was terrible. After only a few glasses, her head was spinning.
She excused herself and went to the restroom. She waited until the dizziness subsided a bit before heading out.
She had just stepped out of the restroom when a long-fingered hand grabbed her. Before she could react, she was pulled to the side.
Sean leaned in close. He immediately smelled the alcohol on her, and his face darkened. “Tracy, are you drinking? Are you out of your mind?”
Tracy’s head was already spinning, and being yanked by Sean made it worse.
She struggled weakly, complaining, “Don’t pull me… I’m so dizzy. If you keep pulling me, I’m going to be sick.”
Already unsteady, and now dizzier than ever, she looked up at Sean’s familiar face and suddenly leaned in.
As her face got closer and closer, Sean’s breathing hitched. Is she going to kiss me?
His heart hammered in his chest, and his face flushed an unnatural red. He had never felt this way before.

But just as her lips were about to touch his, she suddenly turned her head and bit him hard on the shoulder.
A sharp pain shot through his shoulder. Sean instinctively reached up and steadied her head. “Tracy, why are you biting people?”
All the emotions she had been suppressing, combined with the alcohol and the sight of Sean, had made her do something she would never dare to do normally.
Chris was just coming out of the restroom when he saw this. His eyes went wide.
My god, what was I seeing? Sean was being bitten by a woman? This woman was fearless! She actually dared to bite the devil himself? And the strangest part? Sean wasn’t even fighting back.
