Chapter 235 A Final Warning
“What’s the point of dredging this up when it’s already over? If you have any sense, you’ll listen to Dad and Jared. This whole mess started because of you, so you’re the one who has to take responsibility for it.”
Although his perception of Faye and her daughter had been shattered today, his deep-seated favoritism was still there, and he couldn’t help but side with them.
Even if it was true, so what? It was all in the
all in the past, right?
Tracy couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re still protecting them? Are you really so sure Yvonne is a Xander? I suggest you wisen up and get a DNA test, just to avoid becoming the laughingstock of all Northport. After all, throwing your real daughter out while you raise someone else’s… that’s a story that won’t reflect well on you, don’t you think?”
She knew, of course, that this reminder would make Faye and her daughter panic. But her goal wasn’t to expose them just yet. The person pulling the strings still hadn’t shown their face. Her real goal was to make them panic and expose themselves. The harder she pressed them, the more likely the mastermind would be forced to make a move. And then it would be easy to find evidence.
Faye and her daughter could try to smooth this over, but Tracy wasn’t going to let them. It was clear from this entire exchange that the Xanders were hopelessly brainwashed. They were a lost cause.
And that was fine.
The more they protected them now, the more it would hurt when the truth finally came out. She would just wait. She couldn’t wait to see their reactions.
“Tracy, how can you say such things?” Faye’s heart hammered; she felt it almost stop. But she forced herself to remain calm. “I have done nothing to wrong you. Why must you slander us? I know you resent us because I ‘stole’ your mother’s place in this family, but you can’t accuse us of things like this!”
Yvonne had told her the DNA test was probably from Tracy, but she never imagined Tracy would bring it up now. This series of bombshells had left her reeling. She couldn’t think of a way out. What could she do?
Yvonne dropped to her knees in front of Trevor, tears streaming down her face.
She choked out, “Dad, Tracy is just angry with me over the Cloud University incident. I’ve already explained and apologized! But she can’t just keep slinging mud at me. You can’t keep letting her do this!”
Yvonne was also stunned that Tracy would bring this up now. The relentless attacks had caught her completely off guard. Tracy’s unpredictable nature was infuriating. She had to push her contacts to make their move. Soon. Otherwise, Tracy would drive her insane. That madwoman was capable of saying anything.
The problem was that Tracy knew too much. And they couldn’t afford to lose the Xanders’ protection
Chase couldn’t stand to see Yvonne suffering. He glared at Tracy. “Tracy, you won’t be happy until you’ve destroyed us, will you? We know who our sister is. We don’t need an outsider like you weighing in
He truly hadn’t expected Tracy to become this unreasonable, all just to drive a wedge between them to claim Yvonne wasn’t a Xander was outrageous. And to think, just a moment ago, he had actually felt a pang

of guilt.
Now, he just felt she deserved this. She was bringing it all on herself. She was a lost cause.
Tracy smiled. “You know the truth. I’ve said my piece. Whether you get the test or not is up to you. Since you’re clearly unwilling to meet my condition, we have nothing more to discuss. I’ve wasted enough of my valuable time on you. I’m leaving.”
Her goal was achieved. She would let the Xanders figure the rest out for themselves.
These idiots, who had been so thoroughly brainwashed… all it took was a few tears from that pair, and they were unconditionally forgiven, no matter what they’d done.
They would regret it, sooner or later. But it didn’t matter. She no longer cared.
Jared blocked her path. “We’re not finished. You don’t get to just walk away after driving a wedge between all of us. You think it’s that simple? With your personality, you’re bound to cause a major disaster sooner or later. Don’t think that just because we’ve let you get away with things, the rest of the world will, too.”
