Chapter 259 Narrow Escape

Tracy had been a thorn in her side for far too long. Now that she’d finally fallen into her hands, her luck had officially run out.
This time, Tracy was as good as dead.
Trevor glanced at Yvonne. “I just came to tell you it’s time to go home. You have work tomorrow, and there are specialists here to look after your grandma. You don’t need to worry.”
Between the drama at the house and the hours spent at the hospital, they were all exhausted.
Yvonne kept her eyes on the closed ICU doors, her expression one of lingering concern. “I’m still worried about her, Dad. You guys go ahead. I’ll stay a little longer. Don’t worry, it won’t affect my work.”
She had to stay to transfer the money. If she left now and the kidnappers got impatient, they might let Tracy go, and she wasn’t about to let all this effort go to waste.
“You’ve always been the dutiful one,” Trevor said, patting her shoulder. “Be careful. We’re heading out.”
The moment Trevor was out of sight, Yvonne’s face went cold. she pulled out a burner phone and dialed a number. “Transfer a hundred thousand to the account I sent you.”
After years of fighting, she had finally won. Once Tracy was dead, her secret would die with her, and there would be no one left to compete for what was hers.
It was a beautiful thought.
In a damp, rotting warehouse, Tracy lay crumpled on the concrete floor. The lead kidnapper’s phone buzzed with the notification of the transfer, and a greasy grin spread across his face.
He looked down at the woman on the floor. Her face was breathtaking, even in the dim light. Suddenly, he changed his mind.
It would be a waste to just kill a woman this beautiful right away. Better to let the boys have some fun with her first, then dump her in the river where no one would ever find her.
He patted his protruding beer belly and glanced at his men. “Get out and keep watch. I’m going first, then you guys can take turns. It’s not every day we get our hands on one like this. Since she’s dying anyway, we might as well get a taste.”
The men nodded eagerly, practically drooling as they stared at Tracy. They were already

Tracy’s eyes fluttered open just in time to see a middle-aged man with a gut unbuckling his belt. A wave of pure revulsion hit her.
Her stomach, already sensitive from the stress and the medication, revolted. She leaned over and threw up, the contents landing directly on the man’s legs.
The man wiped his face, his expression turning murderous. He swung a heavy boot, kicking her square in the stomach. “You bitch! You’re asking for it!”
The pain was explosive. Combined with the lingering effects of the sedative they’d used, Tracy felt herself slipping toward unconsciousness. She dug her fingernails into her palms, using the sharp sting of pain to force herself to stay awake.
The man went to a corner to splash some water on his face. He stripped off his soiled trousers right in front of her, leaving himself in nothing but his underwear.
“Don’t come near me,” Tracy gasped, scrambling backward, her voice trembling with terror.
The man didn’t listen. He lunged at her like a starved animal. “Come here, baby. Let me show you a good time. I’ve been waiting for this.”
As he moved in, Tracy’s hand closed around a loose brick on the floor behind her. As he leaned over her, she swung it with every ounce of strength she had left, slamming it into his temple.
The man let out a strangled cry and collapsed.
Outside, the henchmen heard the noise and started whistling and laughing, thinking things were getting intense.
“Listen to the boss go,” one of them joked. “He must be having the time of his life in there.”
“Right? Did you hear that girl scream? The boss really knows how to work ’em.”
“I’m getting impatient just listening to it. I want in.”
“Back off, I’m first after the boss. Don’t even think about jumping the line.”
As they argued over who was next, a couple of them actually started shoving each other.
Inside, Tracy scrambled to her feet. While the men were distracted by their own infighting, she slipped out through a side exit and disappeared into the shadows.
The men finally stopped bickering when they realized the warehouse had gone silent. They hurried inside, only to find their boss unconscious on the floor and the girl gone.

Tracy’s head was spinning. She ducked behind a row of rusted chemical drums, using the darkness to hide. Every time she heard a footstep, it felt like a hammer against her heart. She was shaking so hard she could barely breathe.
She was losing her grip on reality. The dizziness was getting worse, and she felt like she was seconds away from passing out.
What do I do?
She looked down at her hands; she had squeezed them so hard that blood was now dripping from her palms, staining the concrete.
Sean was just about to call Tracy when his own phone rang. He saw it was his lead security guard and picked up immediately.
“Sir,” the guard’s voice was panicked. “Something’s wrong. Ms. Tracy is gone.”
Sean stood up abruptly, his voice dropping to a dangerous low. “What do you mean? Explain.”
“We’re in the parking garage,” the guard said breathlessly. “We found her phone on the ground right next to her car. There’s no sign of her.”
