Chapter 7Â
Dorian looked at her for a long moment and said, “Whether mark or claim, neither can cross Vivienne.”Â
Seraphina smiled. The smile was exaggerated, but tears slowly gathered in her eyes.Â
She knew she had lost. She had lost to Vivienne.Â
Until now, she had believed she was the winner. Her wolf had Dorian’s bite marks, she had given birth to his pup, and she thought that was enough.Â
She had not expected it to be nothing more than an illusion.Â
She was unwilling to accept it.Â
“I am not leaving. I want to raise Leo. Separating our family is unfair to him.”Â
“After you leave, Vivienne will take care of him,” Dorian said calmly.Â
“That is not the same. I am Leo’s biological mother. My wolf bears your mark.”Â
Dorian ignored her emotions. He turned, picked up his coat, and left.Â
Seraphina called after him, “Where are you going?”Â
He did not answer. He did not even look back.Â
She collapsed to the floor, sobbing silently. The mark in her wolf pained her. It was Dorian’s bite, a trace he had once promisedÂ
never to remove.Â
Now that promise meant nothing.Â
If she had another chance, she would not fall in love with Dorian again.Â
After Dorian left, Alpha Alistair and Alpha Morgana acted decisively.Â
The lawyer drafted the claim release agreement almost immediately.Â
The house staff packed all of Seraphina’s belongings.Â
“The Blackthorn family will give you a suburban house for your use. There is also a sum of money,” Morgana said coldly. “This is already generous. If you interfere with Leo, Dorian, or Vivienne in the future, ‘I will not forgive you.”Â
The compensation was not much. In the hidden affairs of wolf packs, this was barely enough.Â
But Seraphina could not think that far. She was consumed by Dorian’s indifference, her heart shattered.Â
“If I leave, will Vivienne really come back?”Â
She raised her head and looked at Morgana.Â
“She has always been proud. I have known her for years. I know her better than anyone,” Morgana said.Â
“If I am not here, this home will not have another proper female leader. Dorian’s mark is on me. Vivienne has nothing.”Â
Morgana did not respond further.Â
Seraphina signed the agreement. After tearing off her pride, she no longer tried to please anyone. Following the staff, she turned and left.Â
Leo’s cries tore through the air. Alpha Alistair restrained him.Â
“Do not drive my mother away! You are all wrong!”Â

Even though Dorian would visit Leo, the child spent the most time with his mother. Leo’s attachment to Seraphina ran deepÂ
Seraphina also felt reluctant, but the agreement forbade her from visiting.Â
Even if she wanted to, how could she confront the entire Blackthorn family?Â
She steeled herself and got into the car.Â
Alistair and Morgana watched her leave with complex expressions.Â
After leaving, Dorian drove personally to the Hale residence.Â
Vivienne was gone. But she would not have cut off all contact with her family.Â
He hoped someone from the Hale family could tell him where she was.Â
At the door, security stopped him.Â
“Sorry, Mr. Blackthorn. The Alphas are both away on business. There is no one at home,” they said calmly.Â
“Would you like to try calling first? Or I can place a call for you?”Â
Dorian glanced at the house. It did indeed look abandoned, as if she had been gone for a long time. She was not avoiding him.Â
His heart sank again.Â
He hesitated for a long moment but finally called Alpha Harold Hale himself.Â
Vivienne’s father must have heard the rumors. Dorian needed to know how to explain.Â
His hand holding the phone was sweaty, a feeling he had never experienced before.Â
He expected to be refused again. Instead, the line connected.Â
“Dorian,” Harold said calmly. “I already know about your claim being ended.”Â
“You do not need to say anything else. Vivienne acted first. She wanted the claim terminated. You do not need to intervene. As her father, I must support her decision.”Â
“You can inform your parents. The relationship between the packs remains unchanged. Matters between you two are private. There is no need to involve them.”Â
“…Consider it an amicable separation.”Â
Dorian’s eyes reddened.Â
The Alpha was still willing to speak reasonably. There was still a glimmer of hope.Â
“Alpha, I was wrong,” Dorian said.Â
“I need to know where Vivienne is. I cannot find her. I want to explain. Please give me another chance.”Â
