Chapter 12
The group of monkeys immediately fell into a frenzy when they saw the steel giant that dared to slaughter their kin. Dozens of mechanical monkeys howled and charged at Victor, intent on tearing him to shreds.
The monkey king roared fiercely behind them. Victor couldn’t understand their monkey language, but he could sense the fury and aggression in the roar, which only prompted a cold smile from him.
His war scythe would turn that fury and anger into the helpless cry of the weak.
As the monkey horde surged forth, Victor swung the scythe with both hands. It transformed into a whirlwind in his hands, sweeping through the air. Purple electricity danced along the scythe, creating several glowing rings that spun around him.
At the edges of these rings, any mechanical monkey that dared to step in instantly became a pile of lifeless scrap metal. The floating Source Crystals were the only proof they ever existed.
After Victor had slaughtered half the monkey horde, the monkey king finally sensed something was amiss. Its mechanical eyes flickered with wariness, and it emitted a low, anxious cry.
Hearing the cry, the attacking monkeys immediately halted their assault and turned to flee.
“I’ve only killed about thirty, and you’re already running away? In your dreams.”
Victor scoffed, a glint of mockery in his eyes. Instead of stopping, he accelerated and chased after the fleeing mechanical monkeys.
The monkeys ran away as quick as lightning, but Victor pursued like a raging storm, his speed surpassing theirs. His massive physique did nothing to hinder his agility.
The mechanical monkeys darted through the zoo and attempted to use the nearby buildings and trees to evade Victor, but their efforts were in vain.
Any obstacle in Victor’s path felt as flimsy as paper.
The buildings were tall for ordinary people, but they looked like toys compared to him, effectively not hindering his progress at all.
With the help of his thruster, Victor moved gracefully between the structures, more fluidly than the mechanical monkeys.
The monkey king was terrified by Victor’s relentless pursuit.
It had taken down numerous human mecha already. From its understanding, those mecha were clumsy and could be defeated easily.
What’s going on?
The monkey king led the remaining mechanical monkeys towards the crocodile zone because it was the nearest
zone.
When Victor saw the steel crocodiles, each seven to eight meters long, he realized what the monkey king was trying to do. “Is it trying to use the crocodiles to kill me? This monkey learned strategy that quickly?”
The monkey king crossed the crocodile pond and turned back to bare its teeth at Victor.
It believed the big, thick-skinned crocodiles could easily deal with Victor. There were over twenty crocodiles, and they could easily shred him apart.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be coming for you soon,” Victor glared at the monkey king, his voice as cold as steel.
He certainly wouldn’t let the mutated monkey escape. The mutated rat dropped a fine-grade Electric War Scythe. What surprise would the mutated monkey bring him?
This group of crocodiles…
“Not a single mutant?”
Victor was slightly bewildered. The steel crocodiles all had a fierce aura, but their eyes didn’t glow with the special blue light unique to mutants.
“Whatever…” Victor sighed softly and dashed towards the crocodiles like an arrow released from a bow.
The steel crocodiles were big, but they were slow. To Victor, these clumsy steel crocodiles were easy targets.
Every time the war scythe swung, it whirred through the air. However, to Victor’s surprise, the steel crocodiles’ armor was tough enough to block the scythe’s sharp edge.
