Teagan suddenly turned to Trevor as if remembering something. “By the way, the mandatory waiting period should be ending soon, right?”
“Mm, almost.”
Martha’s smile instantly disappeared at the mention of that. She gave a cold snort and ignored Trevor entirely.
Jordyn wanted to go back and stay at the Rodriguez residence again. This time, Trevor personally drove her there. 1
After dropping her off, he and Celeste only exchanged a brief glance and a polite nod, nothing more.
Trevor left once Jordyn happily ran inside.
Celeste went upstairs with Jordyn. Her phone buzzed just as they reached the upper floor.
It was a message from Trevor. “Regarding the agreement, do you have anything else to revise?” 1
Of course, she hadn’t forgotten that their mandatory waiting period was about to end.
After reading the message, she replied without hesitation. “No.” 3
His reply came quickly. “Okay.” 1
On Monday, Celeste returned to YodaVision and threw herself back into work.
She was supposed to go on a business trip over the next couple of days, and it might keep her away for up to a week.
But her mandatory waiting period with Trevor would officially end in three days. She wanted to get the divorce certificate as soon as possible.
So, she asked Matthias to go in her place, which he agreed to without a second thought. “Sure, leave it to me.”
Kieran had been keeping track of the time as well. So when he heard that Celeste had specifically arranged for Matthias to take over the business trip, he let out a quiet breath of relief. 1
However, he still couldn’t help but ask, “So, in a few days, you’ll be officially divorced?”
“Mm.”
Her answer made him pause for a moment before a slow smile spread across his face. “Good.”
Once she got divorced, he would begin pursuing her properly. 1
Of course, Matthias and Kieran weren’t the only ones waiting. 1
The Lockets and Shaws also grew increasingly tense as the end of the mandatory waiting period approached once again.
They were afraid that something unexpected might happen again, just like before, and the divorce wouldn’t go through.
But when Wynn returned home that day, she seemed calm.
Linda hurried over. “Wynn, Trev doesn’t need to go on a business trip these days, right?”
Wynn smiled faintly. “He was supposed to, but he’s already arranged for someone else to go. He’s cleared his schedule for the next few days.”
Hearing that Trevor had deliberately freed up his time to ensure he wouldn’t miss the divorce again, both families finally telt a weight lifted off their shoulders.

But then Patricia added coldly, “Let’s just hope Celeste doesn’t stir up any trouble.”
In her view, even though Matthias was a good man, Celeste wouldn’t let go of Trevor easily just to spite them. 4
Wynn’s smile dimmed slightly at the mention of Celeste. “I heard she’s also canceled her business trip.”
“Really?”
Linda lit up before snorting and said, “At least she knows what’s good for her.” 1
Lilian and Lennox, however, weren’t surprised.
Lilian said calmly, “If she keeps dragging things out with Trevor and refuses to divorce him, it could also affect things on Matthias’s side. Letting go of Trevor and holding on to Matthias is the best choice for her.”
Lennox nodded. “Exactly.” 9
