Miles, Beck, and the others all knew about Trevor and Celeste’s divorce that morning.
So, after a little over 10:30 am, Miles finally couldn’t hold back anymore and tagged Trevor in their group chat.
“Did you get divorced smoothly? Want to go out for lunch to celebrate?” 1
Wynn and Beck saw the message immediately after he sent it. Wynn even held her breath.
Her family had also been waiting for news about Trevor’s divorce since early morning. They had been constantly messaging her in the past hour or so, asking whether Trevor and Celeste had officially divorced yet.
They were all anxious beyond belief. And all of them wanted to be the first to hear the news the moment the divorce became
official.
After all, Trevor and Celeste had attempted divorce so many times before and failed every single time. This was the closest they had ever come to officially ending their marriage.
In truth, compared to her family, Wynn was the one who was most nervous and most eager to hear the result.
Back when she believed Celeste was inferior to her in every way and was certain that there was no way Trevor would look at Celeste again after he had her, Wynn genuinely didn’t care when he divorced Celeste.

Miles was getting curious after seeing that there was no reply from Trevor. So, he tagged him again. “What’s going on? Please don’t tell me something went wrong again? Did Celeste pull something again this time?” 1
Still, Trevor didn’t reply.
Seeing this, Miles turned to tag Wynn and Beck instead. “What about you two? Heard anything?”
Only then did Beck reply. “No.”
Wynn saw that there was still no message from Trevor, but she was not in the mood to reply at all.
To make matters worse, Narcissa texted her, asking if Trevor and Celeste had officially divorced. 1
Since Trevor didn’t respond, Miles called him directly. However, the line was constantly busy.
It puzzled Miles. But before he could figure out what was going on, a friend suddenly told him that Lincoln and Queenie had been in an accident.
Miles froze. “Seriously?”
“Of course! It’ll probably even make the news later.”
After hanging up, Miles immediately sent a message to the group chat, tagging Beck and Wynn.
“Just got word that Mr. and Mrs. Fleming seem to have gotten into some kind of accident. They were sent to the hospital not long ago, and their condition is currently unknown.”
Beck was equally shocked when he saw the message.
Wynn, however, went blank for a moment. After snapping back to herself, she quickly asked, “When did it happen?”
Miles replied, “This morning.”

That meant Trevor and Celeste might not have made it to the courthouse in time to complete the divorce procedures.
Wynn felt her entire body turn cold at that thought.
Meanwhile, Miles and Beck had stopped caring whether Trevor and Celeste finalized their divorce. They immediately started calling Trevor, wanting to find out about Lincoln and Queenie’s situation.
Trevor finally answered after several consecutive calls.
They didn’t say more after learning that Lincoln and Queenie were still in the emergency room. They just rushed straight to the
hospital after hanging up.
Wynn only started to call Trevor after finally regaining her senses. She called for a long while before Trevor finally found the time to answer her call.
