Chapter 102 Homeless GuyÂ
“How did you even get in here?” she almost shouted.Â
Then she realized they were right outside the lounge, so Maya lowered her voice and demanded. “Care to explain?”Â
“You guess.” George tilted his head. He was tall, so he didn’t lower it. From Maya’s angle, all she could see was his jaw and the curve of his smile.Â
Maya frowned, annoyed. “Why do I have to guess again? You’re so childish.”Â
She could tell he was in a good mood.Â
And she wasn’t wrong.Â

He had just messed with Toby and left him in a miserable state. Hearing Toby’s angry shouting and hateful curses had put him in a great mood, so he came to find Maya.Â
George bent down, still smiling. “Looks like we share the same last name. What a coincidence.”Â
But Maya had no interest in that topic. This kind of “coincidence” wasn’t something to be happy about.Â
She squatted down, looking a little upset. “Why do you keep coming to our school?”Â
“I came to find Toby. I just messed with him, so he’s probably about to explode right now.”Â
Thinking about Toby’s red eyes and the way he looked like he wanted to kill him made George want to laugh again.Â
“You only messed with him?” Maya said. “I thought you were actually going to make him disappear.”Â
She remembered the killing intent he showed last time and unconsciously rubbed her arm. She could still feel a bit uneasy.Â
“I’d like to,” George said, his lively expression fading a little. “But if Grandpa finds out, he won’t let me off.”Â
For some reason, that sounded familiar to Maya.Â
Alfred had said something like that before.Â
“You found him, and you messed with him. So why are you here looking for me?” Maya yawned. “I want to go back and nap.”Â
She was still a student, after all. She needed her rest.Â
“Maya… Your name is Maya, right?” He leaned closer and looked at her carefully. “You look really familiar.”Â
This guy is way too outgoing. He’s just calling my name like that-no shame at all.Â
And she had already gotten used to this kind of line.Â
Maya tilted her head and pointed at herself. “Do I look like a lot of people or something?”Â

She was confused.Â
Why does everyone say I look familiar?Â
“It’s not about how you look.” His baby face showed a strange expression. He tapped his head lightly and admitted, “My memory isn’t great sometimes, but I’ve definitely seen your photo before.”Â
He just couldn’t remember where.Â
Maya fell silent.Â
A criminal with a bad memory…Â
doÂ
She couldn’t help but complain, with a hint of dark curiosity, “So when you work with your group, you ever mess up and target the wrong person? Like, ‘Oops, sorry, bad memory-I killed the wrong guy’?”Â
“Sometimes? Often?” George tilted his head, actually thinking about it seriously. Then he smiled and gave a vague answer. “Depends. If the info is incomplete, or the person looks too ordinary, mistakes can happen.”Â
Maya was speechless.Â
She thought that was way too messed up. If they couldn’t even recognize people properly, they shouldn’t be out there hurting others. It was irresponsible to both victims and their own group.Â
She bit her lip, clearly wanting to complain more, but held it back. Her expression changed a lot in just a second.Â
“Hahaha! Why are you so cute?”Â
George finally burst out laughing and reached out to mess up her fluffy braids.Â
Maya didn’t resist. She just let him do it, like she was already used to it.Â
She probably had a lot of people around her who liked patting her head.Â
“Maya,” George said as he crouched down in front of her, looking straight at her, “can I give you a hug?”Â
His tone was actually polite.Â
He crouched there, eyes full of expectation, like a sly cat wagging its tail with bad intentions.Â
“No.” Maya reacted fast and scooted back. “I’m warning you. Stay away from me.”Â
George blinked at her defensive reaction. He looked a little disappointed, but he didn’t push it.Â
He pulled his hand back and stayed crouched there, still/smiling. “You’re so stingy. But it’s fine. I’ve got things to do today. See you tomorrow.”Â
What? Tomorrow?Â
I don’t want to see you again!Â
Maya had never met someone this strange. She stood there in a daze for a few seconds before finallyÂ

turning and walking back into the lounge.Â
“Maya, who was that outside just now?” someone asked curiously.Â
“A homeless guy,” Maya said as soon as she got back, pulling a blanket over her head.Â
Everyone in the lounge loved drama. As soon as they heard that, they all crowded around her.Â
“What? A homeless guy?”Â
