Albert hung up the phone and stood up from the couch. “You’re welcome. I’m heading to Starlight anyway, so I’ll give you a ride.”

Albert pulled the car out of the garage.
He got out, walked around the front to open the front passenger door, but Elnora simply opened the back door and slipped into the back seat.
Albert’s hand froze mid-action as he was about to open the passenger door, eyebrow raised at Elnora already
settled in the back.
“Ms. Finley, are you treating me like your chauffeur?” he teased.
Elnora had no intention of getting out. She simply looked up at Albert, her gaze steady and unruffled.
“Sorry, I just like the back seat,” she said.
Albert chuckled softly, didn’t say a word, got back in the driver’s seat, started the car, and drove off.
When they arrived at Starlight, Albert pulled up and parked. Elnora got out of the car.
As she entered the office building, Elnora spotted Stella in the lobby, sitting in a wheelchair.
Stella was being pushed by her assistant, with an IV catheter still taped to the back of her hand.
