Albert’s tone was stiff, looking a bit annoyed. Before Elnora could even reply, he got into his car, started the engine, and drove off.
As soon as he hit the gas, Elnora turned around and headed back into the Finley family house, not trying to stop him at all.
Albert slammed on the brakes and rolled down the window.
Elnora didn’t even pause for a second. She just headed straight inside.
Albert glanced at her back one last time, then restarted the car and drove away.
‘Guess I really didn’t need to make this trip from Port City to Vrufield, Albert thought to himself.
When Elnora came into the living room. Marina had already finished breakfast and was lounging on the couch.
When Marina saw Elnora come in, she immediately got up and walked over to her, speaking softly.
“Elnora…” Marina said gently.
‘Are you sure it’s okay to treat Albert that way?”
Elnora replied coolly, “What attitude?”
Marina pressed her lips together and whispered, “Like… the way you talk to a client.”
Honestly, she was not even that polite to her clients.
Elnora paused for a few seconds before replying, “Albert and I are basically in a business arrangement. So I really don’t see my issue with the way I treat him.”
Marina nodded, finding herself agreeing more and more with what Daron had said last night.

Elnora replied. “That reminds me, actually. Albert and my wedding invitations are already printed, and I need to personally
deliver them.
“Will you come with me?”
Marina nodded.
Elnora took Marina with her to the Zamora mansion first, personally handing the invitation to Harris.
As Harris took the invitation, he let out a sigh and said, “Your grandfather always wanted to find you a husband who would join the family, or at least someone from Vrufield. But who would’ve thought you’d end up marrying into a family in Port City?
“No one ever expected you’d end up moving so far away for marriage.”
Elnora listened to Harris’s sigh and replied in an even, steady voice.
“Things never go as planned,” she said.
Harris looked over the invitation in his hands and went on. “The Campbell family is a big deal in Port City. From the way they’ve treated you lately, I’m sure you won’t be mistreated over there.”
“But now that our families are joined by marriage, and your grandfather and I go way back, if you ever run into any trouble, just give me a call or talk to Daron,” he added.
Elnora nodded and said softly, “Thank you, Harris.”
Marina stayed quietly by Elnora’s side throughout, listening in as Harris and Elnora talked.
After Elnora and Harris finished their conversation, Harris turned his gaze to Marina and said calmly, “Marina, take good care of yourself these days.
“If you need anything, just give me a call. But knowing that rascal Daron, I’m sure he won’t let you lack for anything.”
Marina nodded in response.
“Alright, Grandpa,” she said.
“Don’t worry, if I need anything, you know I won’t be shy about asking,” Marina added.
Harris let out a hearty laugh.
He said, “I know you two probably have a busy day ahead, delivering invitations to other places, so I won’t hold you up any longer.
“Now that it’s just you two sisters in the Finley family, make sure to lean on each other and stay close.”
Elnora nodded, got up from the couch, and softly said goodbye to Harris.
Harris nodded and had the butler see them out.
After Marina and Elnora left the Zamora mansion together, Marina glanced at the stack of invitations they still had to
deliver.

Thinking about Zack and Mila, Marina gave Elnora a careful look.

“Elnora, maybe we could just ask someone to deliver the Clark family’s invitation for us instead? We don’t really have to go there ourselves, right?” Marina asked.
Elnora shook her head and said, “The Zamora mansion isn’t far from the Clark family’s place. Let’s just swing by and deliver the invitation ourselves.”
Marina saw that Elnora looked completely unfazed. She was totally over Zack and Mila.
Marina breathed a silent sigh of relief and nodded along.
Besides, at this hour, Zack and Mila probably aren’t even home.
Zack’s been busy lately, caught up in a power struggle with Kieran.
And Mila had been doing everything she could to make Winnie lose favor in the Gill family, constantly trying to win over Henry.
With both of them so busy, Elnora and Marina probably wouldn’t run into them anyway.

When Evan invited Marina and Elnora into the living room, they found Mila and Zack already sitting on the couch.
When Evan saw Elnora and Marina walk in together, he greeted them with a warm smile and invited them to sit down.
“Marina, Elnora, you’re here!” Evan said, smiling.
“Go ahead, take a seat,” Evan urged.
Elnora nodded, handed over the gift she brought to the Clark family’s butler, and then she and Marina both greeted Evan before taking their seats on the couch.
As soon as Zack saw Elnora walk in, he instinctively averted his gaze.
He was doing his best not to look at her, but his obvious avoidance just made it even clearer to everyone how much he still cared.
Mila’s hand at her side clenched a little, but she forced a smile and took the initiative to greet Elnora.
“Elnora, when did you get back to Vrufield? How come nobody said anything?” Mila asked.
Elnora replied, “I just got back yesterday.”
“Oh, really?” Mila said, giving Zack a quick look.
“Zack just got back from Port City yesterday too. Did you guys end up on the same flight?”
Elnora said, “No idea.”
She never saw Zack on the plane.
Zack glared at Mila in warning the moment she spoke.

Mila’s eyes flashed coldly as she glanced at Elnora, about to speak, but Elnora moved first. She took the invitation from her bag and respectfully presented it to Evan.
“Evan, this is my wedding invitation. Albert and I will be holding our wedding in two weeks, and I hope you and your family can attend, Elnora said.
Evan’s eyes brightened as he took the invitation from Elnora, looking pleasantly surprised.
‘So the date’s already locked in? You two sure are moving fast,” Evan said with a grin.
Elnora met Evan’s gaze politely and replied in a calm tone, “Thanks for playing cupid for us.
‘Reese said she’ll thank you in person when you come to Port City.”
