Seeing what happened, Mila stood up too, giving Elnora and Marina an apologetic smile.
She said, “Sorry, that’s just how Zack is. I’ll go see how he’s doing.”
Elnora gave a slight nod, then turned her gaze to Evan and said, “Mr. Clark, Marina and I will take our leave now. We’ll come visit you again when we get the chance.”
Evan offered with a polite smile, “Why don’t you stay for lunch?”
Elnora shook her head. “Thanks for the offer, but Marina and I have got other things to handle.”
Evan nodded and said casually, “Now that it’s just you and your sister keeping the Finley family together, and with your wedding coming up, you’ve got a lot to deal with. I won’t keep you any longer. Go on, take care of things.

Mila walked over with a smile, came up beside Elnora, and said quietly.

She said, “Elnora, with Grandpa Clark around just now, I didn’t get a chance to talk to you at all. I haven’t even congratulated you yet.”
Elnora replied calmly. “Thanks.”
Mila bit her lip and said quietly, “Honestly, I used to think that after Zack and I got together, you’d probably stay single forever. I never expected you to move on so quickly.
“Zack wasn’t acting out earlier because of you…”
She wanted to say that Zack had already moved on from Elnora.
But before she could finish, Elnora met her gaze with an open, straightforward look, and Mila instantly realized she shouldn’t have brought it up.
By mentioning it, she was only making it seem like Zack still hadn’t let go.

Elnora looked at her and asked, “So, what was it then?”
Mila managed a rueful smile and said, “It’s not that Zack has any issue with you.
“Zack’s been keeping a sour face ever since you and Marina walked in, but it’s not that he didn’t want to see you. He’s just been really stressed at work lately, so he hasn’t been handling his emotions all that well.”
As Marina listened to Mila, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes, a hint of disdain flickering in her gaze.

about that stuff.”

Mila was momentarily stunned, then turned around, only to see Zack standing there. She had no idea when he’d shown up.

Mila took a deep breath, her expression shifting slightly. She walked over to Zack, slipped her arm through his, and said with a smile, “Zack, who would’ve thought Elnora would actually find her own happiness?
“I heard the Campbell family really values her. For this wedding, they even blocked off Queen’s Road…”
Before Mila could finish, Zack’s cold voice cut her off.
“Mila, let’s get a divorce,” Zack said.
