Chapter 659 This Debt Goes to Elnora

Chapter 659 This Debt Goes to Elnora

Elara switched to anonymous mode and replied to the Anonymous User One.

Elara: [How do you know Albert doesn’t go for Ms. Finley’s type? Are you inside his head, or did he tell you straight up?]

Elara pulled up an old photo of Elnora at a private dinner, rocking a super feminine dress, and sent it over.

Elara: [Is being feminine that hard for you? Ever heard of posting a pic with no filter, no edit? With your looks, even heavy Photoshop couldn’t get you anywhere near this level.]

Anonymous User One instantly got triggered.

Anonymous User One: [I’m right about her being too assertive, aren’t I? Guys don’t like strong-willed women.]

Anonymous User One: [Ms. Taylor and Mr. Campbell have been together for years. If Elnora hadn’t come out of nowhere, Ms. Taylor would’ve married Mr. Campbell.]

Elara: [What bullshit are you spouting? You said they’ve been together for years. So why didn’t your precious Ms. Taylor marry Albert during all those years before Ms. Finley even showed up?]

Anonymous User One: [They were about to finally get together, but Elnora got in the way of their relationship. That’s why they couldn’t be together.]

Elara saw someone actually blaming Elnora for coming between Albert and Stella, and she let out a cold laugh. She didn’t care about being polite anymore.

Elara: [What bullshit.]

Elara: [If anyone’s the homewrecker, it’s Ms. Taylor. She knew Albert and Ms. Finley were already married, but she still clung to Albert like a leech. She practically had “shameless” stamped on her forehead.]

Elara: [All that ‘hero saving the beauty’ nonsense? I don’t see any of it. All I see is Ms. Taylor hanging onto a married man like she’s got no shame.]

As Elara typed, she zoomed in on the photo of Stella and Albert together, took a screenshot of Stella clinging to Albert’s arm as her life depended on it, and sent it to the group.

Elara: [What’s up with that grip? She’s holding on with a death grip, like she’s practicing some villain move or something.]

Elara: [Didn’t you say Albert was crazy about Stella? So why isn’t Albert wrapping her up in his arms, keeping her safe, or whatever?]

Anonymous User One: [Quit twisting the facts.]

Elara: [You’re the one twisting things. Why don’t you go ahead and call Stella, see if she even knows where Albert is right now?]

Anonymous User One: [Where Mr. Campbell is isn’t any of our business. We’re here for the gossip, so why are you freaking out? Wait, are you… Elnora Finley?]

Elara let out a cold laugh. [Dream on. Someone like you thinks Ms. Finley would bother arguing with a nobody? Go look in the mirror and ask yourself if you even qualify!]

Anonymous User One was totally losing it, triggered as they demanded to know who Elara was.

Anonymous User One: [Who are you? Wanna go head-to-head in person?]

Elara: [You think I’m scared of you?]

Seeing things getting heated, someone quickly stepped in to calm things down.

[Alright, alright, we’re all colleagues here. Let’s cool it.]

[Only Mr. Campbell knows who he really loves.]

Elara: [Yeah, only Albert knows who he really loves. I can’t say if he loves Ms. Finley, but I do know someone’s standing outside Ms. Finley’s hotel room right now, quietly shedding tears!]

Chapter 659 This Debt Goes to Elnora

As she typed, Elara immediately sent the sneaky pic she’d just taken to the group.

The moment she posted the photo, the group went dead silent.

The only people who could get a shot that close to Albert were Elnora herself or her assistant.

Elara dropped the anonymous mode and spoke up in the group using her real profile.

Elara: [This is Elara. So, where’s Anonymous User One who wanted to face me in person? Come on, reveal yourself and let’s see if you dare to step up.]

The group went dead silent.

No one responded to Elara.

They were all too scared to say anything now, afraid they’d draw attention to themselves.

After all, everything they’d said in the group before was speculation.

But now, Elara had posted real evidence, the photos that spoke for themselves.

Seeing the group go completely silent, Elara let out a soft snort.

Elara: [Seriously, hiding behind a screen and only posting anonymously? That’s so lame.]

No one said a word in the group.

Elara lost interest and put her phone away.

After letting off all her steam, Elara tried to unsend the photo right at the perfect moment, but…

The photo couldn’t be recalled anymore. It was stuck there for good.

Elara froze for a second, then quickly sent a message to Elnora.

[Ms. Finley, I think… I just screwed up.]

Elnora had just finished washing up and was settling into bed when she saw Elara’s message. She frowned and immediately called her.

“Did something go wrong with the numbers? Let me check if there’s any way to fix it,” Elnora said.

Noticing Elnora was still in work mode, Elara lowered her voice, saying, “It’s not about work.”

Elnora’s brows tightened, her voice turning calm and a bit distant as she said, “As long as it’s not about work, it’s not a big deal. Even if the sky comes crashing down, I’ll be here for you.”

Elara gave an awkward smile, mumbling, “Thanks, Ms. Finley. Honestly, I think you’re the only one who can bail me out of this mess.”

Elnora’s voice was calm as she asked, “Tell me, what’s the problem?”

Elara’s voice dropped to almost a whisper as she said, “I… accidentally posted a candid photo of Mr. Campbell in the Supernova Entertainment’s gossip group.”

Elnora looked a little puzzled.

She said, “It’s just a photo, hardly something you’d call a disaster, right?”

Elara sounded awkward as she said, “Yeah, one photo isn’t usually a big deal, but I think Mr. Campbell might mind this one.”

Elnora asked, “Does it hurt his reputation?”

Elara murmured, “Yeah.”

“No big deal, Elnora said in a light, indifferent tone. “We’re getting divorced anyway. If the photo spreads, it gives me a perfect excuse for the divorce.”

After hearing Elnora’s response, Elara realized Elnora had gotten the wrong idea.

Elnora probably thought the photo Elara sent was evidence that Albert was having an affair.

“Ms. Finley, I snapped that pic just now, right outside your hotel room.”

Elnora went quiet.

Elara continued in a low voice, “In the photo, Mr. Campbell’s eyes were red from crying.”

Elnora was at a loss for words.

Elara’s voice got even lower.

“Mr. Campbell told me if I ever let it slip that I saw him crying tonight, I’d be toast.”

Elnora was still processing what Elara had just told her. Albert had been crying outside her hotel room. The news lingered in her mind, leaving her momentarily speechless.

Elara waited and waited, but Elnora didn’t respond. She finally called out softly, hoping for a reaction.

“Ms. Finley?”

Elnora responded with a “mm.”

Elara asked quietly, “What should I do?”

Elnora’s mind was blank as she answered in a low voice, “I don’t know either.”

She was at a loss for words, not even sure what to say anymore.

Elara wailed, “If I’d known, I never would’ve bothered arguing with those losers.”

Albert was a big deal in Port City. If that photo of him crying got out, it would ruin his image and mess with his pride.

Guys care about their dignity more than anything.

What Elara did tonight basically trashed Albert’s dignity.

The Campbell family was definitely going to have something to say about this.

Even though Reese wouldn’t blame Elnora directly, Elara was still Elnora’s person, so it was bound to affect her one way or another.
